We stayed here in August 20, the cottage looks much nicer that the listing and photos gives credit for, the cottage was clean and tidy and had everything required for our stay, good local links for places to visit and and things to do, this includes activities with children under 11.. this is an ideal location for Settle, Malham Cove, Stainforth and many many more locations, this does not even include the hikes up the peaks.

I really enjoyed my time away with my partner and dog here.. The welcome biscuits were a lovely touch. The cottage had a lot of items we didn't expect which would've been lovely to know beforehand :) I've already recommended the cottage to friends.
Miss Banks, September 2019
September 2019
We booked the cottage in order to walk the Yorkshire 3 peaks.. ...location was excellent..only 5 minute drive to start. Cottage was spacious....well equipped with everything you could need. It was in good order throughout....very clean and comfortable. 2 minutes walk to a friendly local pub serving good value and tasty meals. We all said that we would love sometime to book a longer stay.

The cottage was like a home from home! It was clean and spacious with all facilities we needed. It was situated in an idyllic location, within walking distance from a lovely pub and a beautiful fishery. We had an amazing first holiday with our 18month old puppy, and our teenage girls had a great time hiking, wall climbing and exploring the cave at Ingleton. Highly recommend Helwith Bridge in the Yorkshire Dales.

We've just arrived home from a relaxing week at Helwith Cottages.. The cottage was very clean, spacious and well equipped. In a lovely area for the Dales and visiting Settle, Malham Tarn & Cove, The Ribblehead Viaduct and close to the Settle to Carlisle railway. Also all the lovely surrounding villages and local pubs. Great holiday will visit again and recommend. Thank you!

July 2019
We would highly recommend this cottage in fact the info and pictures on the website do not do it justice.. Great location to get out and about and pub only a short walk with a great welcome, the landlord and staff were really friendly. Very little one could suggest to improve the actual cottage it had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. One minor suggestion would be to update the welcome pack. It had all the instruction books for appliances but little else, nothing on nearby walks or nearest village shop etc. Would definately recommend this cottage and if the opportunity arises would return.
Miss Woodcock, July 2019

Back garden was only let down would of liked bigger for dog, pictures showed .... Back garden was only let down would of liked bigger for dog, pictures showed lots of views of surrounding countryside but not back garden , cottage was absolutely lovely had everything we needed , house next door was very scruffy and there is a bit of heavy traffic passing due to the quarry being so close but apart from that excellent location for three peaks and pub is a short walk and people very welcoming and we all in all would most likely stay there again

August 2018
Have stayed in dozens of cottages in the Yorkshire Dales,Lake District & Scotland and internally this cottage was as good if not better than any we have stayed at.. It was extremely clean, almost new, as well as spacious and light. The attention to detail which also helped to make this property most welcoming and comfortable. The internal photographs of this property just don't do it justice - with more required.

April 2018
We were a group of 5 staying due to tackling the 3 Peaks Challenge.. The cottage is fabulously located for this, being only 5 minutes away by car from Horton in Ribblesdale. On our arrival we were met by a lovely well appointed cottage. The kitchen is very well stocked with lots of crockery and utensils etc. The bedrooms, whilst compact are bright and clean and the bathroom had a lovely bath and shower which was most welcome after a hard day climbing! I particularly loved the little touch of a tea tray ready and waiting with complementary biscuits. We have all said we would love to stay again and shall no doubt be booking shortly. Thank you for a lovely weekend.
Mr Rogers
December 2017
The cottage is clean and modern.. The owners have considered every eventuality as far as we could tell, everything was spotless, in excellent condition with some very considerate extra touches, like ice cubes in the freezer, a starter pack of logs and kindling, games and books to enjoy, along with plenty of local information, and the icing on the cake were the lovely Christmas decorations to make us feel at home. We would not hesitate in recommending the cottage to others, with one minor point to make, the need for a couple of pillows available in case anyone needs extra. Not a great problem though and didn't spoil our stay. The pub nearby was a pleasant spot with good beer and food available. The Gamecock in Austwick is an excellent spot for a lovely meal, and there are ample walks in the area for the keenest of ramblers, or the casual strollers to enjoy. All in all, we would give this pleasant little cottage 10 out of 10.

The cottage itself was cosy with a log fire and thoughtful touches such as hot water bottles. It was extremely clean and met our needs perfectly. The location was absolutely idyllic, with a friendly pub just down the road offering a number of local ales and wonderful food, in portion sizes that we welcomed after working up an appetite with all of the beautiful walking locations nearby! Would definitely recommend staying here if you would like a cosy base to return to after days of walking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

This was an ideal cottage for us and our two adult daughters. The owner was very friendly and helpful on the telephone when we booked. It was immaculate and nicely furnished with plenty of room for the four of us. It was also very convenient to have two toilets. On the first evening of our stay we walked from the cottage to the quarry and Maughton nab (which is the view from the kitchen at the cottage). We also bumped into some very friendly neighbours. It is only a very short drive through pleasant scenery to places like Malham or Clapham where we found some beautiful walks. There is a "Booths" supermarket in Settle (5 miles). We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The property was ideally located for us to do the 3 Peaks Challenge being just 2 miles away. There was also a pub literally one minutes walk away. Very comfortable house, newly decorated and furnished to a very good standard. Reasonably priced property and lots of good walking and biking from the door. Friendly and helpful owner, who responded quickly to minor problem. No chance of a sleep-in with steady convoy of lorries for the quarry from around 7am on weekdays.

Well placed for visiting South Yorkshire and lakes. The cottage is well decorated with a log burner, making it cosy on a night. A car ride away from local amenities, about 5miles in to Settle. It was lovely and quiet, there is a pub within walking distance but it was a big let down, only went once.
