Housed in period conversion just a six-minute walk from the famous York Minster, this apartment isn’t the flashiest in our collection, but its location makes it perfect for sightseeing endeavours. The decor is a little sparse and modest for our liking. That said, the kitchen is a good size and the main bedroom’s walk-in closet equipped with a vanity is a nice touch. Free on-site parking will come in handy for those looking to explore further afield, but with countless historic sights within easy walking distance, we think the best way to explore the city is on foot.
Home truths: *There's no lift access to reach this second-floor home, so it may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility *The decor is functional here – those looking for a more luxurious stay might wish to look elsewhere *There's no desk here, but the dining table or bedroom vanity can double up as laptop-friendly workspaces – there's unlimited fibre internet *Storage space is minimal here, so we'd recommend packing light *The building's entrance is shared with the other residents *Given the home's central location, you may hear some street noise *On-site allocated parking is available for one car in the building's small car park
