Why not take the train along the scenic railway line to Whitby (17 miles) and spend a day exploring the alleyways and cobbled streets which offer an eclectic mix of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Slightly further afield is the bustling market town of Pickering (21 miles) with its historic castle, Dalby Forest (27 miles) with miles of cycle tracks to enjoy and the beautiful Castle Howard (20 miles).
