Whitby is a wonderful in the town and ancient fishing port resting at the mouth of the River Esk and is surrounded by the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, 19 miles away from Scarborough. Within the town you will find a superb selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a sandy beach, a harbour and 199 steps which take you up to the famous ruins of the Abbey.
