Whitby is a seaside town resting at the mouth of the River Esk in the Scarborough district of North Yorkshire. Enveloped by the North Yorkshire Moors, this is a great base for touring further afield. Within the town itself, you will find a collection of winding streets and hidden alleys, where there is a selection of eateries and shops. Attractions within the town include the famous 199 steps to the Whitby Abbey and the Captain Cook Memorial Museum.
