Wold Cottage is located perfectly to explore the East Coast and the cottage itself has the absolute wow factor. Spacious rooms and plenty of them, our family of 6 adults and two dogs never felt under one another’s feet! Favourite rooms were the lounge with wood burner and light, bright conservatory for every part of the day. We travelled during covid and were really impressed with the pre travel information and the provisions within the property including fixed sanitiser station in the porch. Excellent all round.

Once again another fantastic stay at Wold Cottage.. This property has everything you need for a cosy and comfortable stay. The location is excellent and since last year John has fitted some extra security on the gates for smaller dogs meaning the entire property is completely safe. The weather wasn’t too kind to us but it didn’t matter, as well as a beautiful cottage to come home to there are some excellent pubs nearby. Most notably are The White Swan in Hunmanby and The Ship Inn in neighbouring Muston which has excellent food and wonderful staff. A little further is the Bull Inn in Gristhorpe which is definitely worth a visit especially for Sunday lunch. We can’t wait to return in the future- Thank You.

Fabulous holiday from start to finish.. Excellent facilities. Definitely has the wow factor. Very spacious. Ideally located for visiting Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. Lovely meals at 'The Swan Inn' in Hunmanby. Large grassed area for the kids to play on with the outdoor games provided. Welcome pack was much appreciated, especially the wine! John met us on arrival and showed us around. Very helpful and friendly. There is quite a bit of traffic noise as the cottage is situated at the side of the road and with it being hot we had the windows open at night, but we got used to it. Already booked again for next year.

A beautifully decorated spacious cottage with very modern amenities, a lovely unspoilt view across the fields , which is great at night with no light pollution, so you can gaze at the stars and through the skylight.. Loads of parking and shared lawn garden. Also plenty of seating at the back and side of house. Great location for Whitby, Scarborough, filey, flamborough head, Flixton for great food at the foxhounds pub, gets quite busy at be wise to book. Just an all round great place to stay. Would definitely recommend.

Beautifully presented cottage with plenty of space for 3 generations to spread out, conservatory being the favourite.. There is some traffic noise but with the roadside windows closed this is minimised.

Everything you could need to make your break special. Well fenced in for our dogs. Would love to return. Eden camp was worth a visit on a wet day. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by the owner who then showed us around.. The cottage was lovely and warm and very comfortable. We were a group of friends who met together for a sewing week, the cottage met all needs for this, especially with the large table in the conservatory. The outside area was completely safe for the dogs who enjoyed their walk on the nearby beaches. We will certainly be back.

We absolutely loved our stay. The accommodation was simply first class. Immaculate, well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge with log burner to keep us toasty and comfy beds. The bathrooms were beautiful, same as those of a 5* hotel with generous showers, all sparkly clean. Every detail had been thought of, board games for nights in, plenty of logs for the fire and a handy folder for local eateries etc. I would definitely recommend and we will certainly be back, we were sad to leave!

Me and 3 friends went to stay at Wold Cottage at the weekend. It was fantastic, spotlessly clean and a perfect location. The cottage has lovely decor with wooden latched doors, the beds were so comfortable, it actually sleeps 8 comfortably with 2 bathrooms, perfect kitchen with all the basics, lovely sitting room with a log burner and instructions on how to use (really straight forward), and a fantastic conservatory with views across the fields and a big dining table perfect for everyone to enjoy their dinner. There are some books and board games at the cottage, along with a tv with freeview in the lounge and tv’s in all bedrooms. It was lovely and cosy especially with the log burner in full flow. Perfect location in close proximity of everything you could need or want. Large driveway perfect for a few cars if needing to travel separately. Will certainly be returning!

John and Irene are first class holiday landlords.. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We met up with them a couple of weeks after our break to recover some 'forgotten' towels. They were extremely hospitable over coffee and a chat. Towels were washed and aired. Super people. Super accommodation.

November 2017
Wold Cottage is probably the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in a lot! We were a little concerned at first that it might not be warm enough in November. However our concerns we’re unfounded as the property was warm and cosy throughout our stay- and it snowed! We loved the out of town location as we had no neighbours to worry about which was also a bonus for our little dog. The large driveway and garden are enclosed but again because our dog is a smaller breed he would have probably got under one of the gates and onto the main road but the gravelled area outside the conservatory is completely safe for dogs and children alike. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need if your foodies like us and there is plenty of seating areas throughout. All the bedrooms have views and are very comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful also. The whole cottage is spotless throughout- clearly the owners take very good care of it. We will definitely be back next year! Thank you to John and Irene for their friendly hospitality

We were amazed at this lovely cottage as soon as we walked in the door - there was a lovely welcome pack of tea - sugar - coffee and milk and even a treat for Oscar the dog! The owner came round and kindly showed everything we needed to know and said to ring anytime if we had any queries- which we had none as the Cottage was perfect. It was well equipped for all our needs and so lovely furnished and decorated to a high standard, I would highly recommend this lovely cottage and it was well placed for visiting resorts on east coast and lovely villages. Thanks for a lovely week here.

Great location for visiting Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington and more. Every thing you could want and more. Spotless clean, very comfy beds. Great pubs near by. Down side on main road to Hunmanby so lots of traffic, noisy at times, didn't spoil our stay.
