Wow, what an amazing cottage to stay in.. So comfy, warm and everything there you need. The decor and furnishings are superb. So handy to visit coast and North Yorks moors. Great little garden to exercise dog. No problem with parking. We will be booking again. Thanks Dan

Absolutely loved it! We stayed on a short weekend mtb break and the cottage was more than what we expected, we kept our bikes safe and sound in the washroom outhouse, Dan the owner was so welcoming and was keen to tell us the best places to go for what we wanted (Thankyou so much Dan for a great stay!) we felt right at home in the cottage! Gorgeous modern decor with a cottage vibe, it had everything we needed for self catering! Fish shop just on the main road not even 1 minute walk and a supermarket 7miles away! We will definitely be back for another stay so we can discover more of Dalby forest

We enjoyed this immensely.. Very comfy and spotless. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable gave good advice and information which was really helpful. We were close to Scarborough Filey and Pickering. And pubs short distance away. Fish and chips thirty yards away and delicious and a little shop selling most things. Outside was a manicured hedge and big garden well cultured. The cottage was just behind main road so advice of keeping dogs on leads is a definite. Would be happy to recommend to anyone to this cottage.

This cottage is lovely in a really good location and has everything you could possibly need.. We have previously stayed in the one bedroom cottage next door and both of them have been finished to a very high standard. Dan is a lovely man and congratulations to him for providing the best dog friendly accommodation we have ever stayed in. The Christmas decorations wine and chocolates were a lovely touch. We would have no hesitation in recommending either of these cottages.

What a fantastic find, 8 miles from Scarborough, ideal for visiting costal towns and the moors, Dan the owner greeted us on arrival, a lovely man, The cottage was spotless and clean and finished to a high standard, with WiFi CD player & Netflix. Clean comfy bedrooms and bathroom downstairs, open kitchen dining living room area upstairs, all very spacious and perfectly clean. Plenty of off road parking also a large grassed area for the dogs with a seating area too. He also has a 1 bedroom cottage on site. We had an absolutely fantastic long weekend and excellent value... we will back soon!

This cottage was a real find.. I cannot believe how clean it is! It's just great, so comfortable Dan has thought of everything. We loved it, the location was excellent, within striking distance of most everything - coast, forest, scenic drives, views, really good fish & chips (next door), local Shop (all of two minutes walk) which was excellent e.g. my favourite wine at £3 less than a supermarket I use at home. On our first day they actually put some out the back for me. And such friendly people both there and in the village. Bus stop about 1 minute away either direction and if you are lucky you will pick up en-route some fresh produce, raspberries, green beans and blackcurrants being sold outside a house but be quick, they go fast! The cottage backs onto paddocks and we were very lucky to attend the Stables open event on Sunday, great fun, and we enjoyed seeing the foal each morning. Lovely garden facility and again Dan has thoughtfully provided rustic tables and chairs for guests. Neither of us are particularly cat lovers but the two resident cats had me eating out of their paws, hello Spikey and Norman. And as for Dan, well he's one of life's characters! Thanks Dan - your cottage is lovely!

Everything was perfect, the cottage was spotless the garden at the back of the cottage was well tended.. The pub and shop was a walk away and close enough to drive to the coast

May 2018
Gorgeous area.. Not an ideal cottage for families with small children as stairs are quite steep and open to falls. Good for older ones but very low walls / extracted fan on oven - hit my head countless number of times. Gorgeous garden to rear of property though you need to keep checking for dog poo - had a few accidents in children’s footwear. Also falling piece of wood from Window which narrowly missed my daughters head. Apart from these few issues it was nice and comfy.

This is a brilliant property in a brilliant location and perfect for families relaxing.. Dan the owner is very polite and always on hand for any support or advice. This is our second visit to this property and we just love it. Great location to escape and enjoy a relaxing break. Fish and chip shop next door is outstanding and we visited the local golf centre which also provided foot golf which the kids just loved. We also visited Alphamere Swimming Pool in Scarborough, wow what an experience. The outdoor pool was just like having a hot bath!! Fantastic. We will certainly be visiting again. Thank You Sykes.

This cottage was for us just perfect. The Cottage is located in the village of Snainton about eight miles from Scarborough, which gives easy access to all of North Yorkshires Attractions and its beautiful countryside. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need. When we arrived the cottage was spotless perfectly clean. As the names suggests the living area is upstairs and bedroom bathroom downstairs. All rooms are beautifully decorated and it is obvious that a lot of work has gone into the renovation of the cottage, The living are is very comfortable. There is plenty of off-road parking available. There is also a large paddock to the rear of the property which Daisy (our Dog) really enjoyed in the evenings. Daniel the owner works on site and was both friendly and very helpful. All in all we had a great week here. Excellent value.

June 2014
From the moment we arrived at the cottage, my husband and our two year old son felt totally at home. We were greeted by Dan, the owner, who couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. The cottage is finished to a very high standard with beautiful oak beams, wrought iron staircase, and beautiful bathroom and bedrooms. Outside, there is a small balcony with stairs leading to patio area, then across a stone chipped courtyard to a paddock - my husband and son found it for playing football! There is a chip shop, and convenience store within a two minute walk, and a lovely pub a 5 minute walk away ( the coachman) The local villages within a few minutes drive are equally lovey, and it is very easy and quick to get to Scarborough, York and Whitby. If you have children, the fact that flamingo land is a 15 minute drive is a pretty good perk! We would highly recommend staying here, and can't wait to book our return trip!

November 2013
Great location for exploring the East Coast with Scarborough 10miles away. The cottage itself was excellent with a double bedroom, bathroom and smaller bedroom downstairs that would suit two children but potentially not two adults unless you were very close! Shower in the bathroom was very powerful (although if someone used the sink upstairs the temperature would drop massively (be warned!)) Upstairs was a Lounge, Diner and Kitchen which had all the mod-cons that were needed. We found a few things missing that the average home might use such as a Simple chopping board if you were doing fresh meat/fish, tongs for cooking but nothing major. The owners had even provided a selection of games, dvd's and lots of local information making planning your stay so easy. Ample off road parking was provided. One warning … If you need to be contactable don't rely on Vodafone! Although standing outside the main door gave you a signal :-) Coachman inn 5 min walk away had a great open fire too... Recommended location and we WILL be booking again.
