Outside there is an enclosed patio with a hot tub, and off-road parking is available. Within 3.4 miles you will find a shop and within 3.2 miles, a pub and please note that one well-behaved pet is welcome but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Hawthorn Cottage is a wonderful escape for your next getaway in North Yorkshire. Note: No children under the age of 1 year old.

The picturesque village of Scalby lies just 2.5 miles from the seaside resort of Scarborough. The village centre, with its stone cottages and Victorian houses, boasts good facilities, with a pub, two local shops, a quaint tea room, a hairdressers and a beauty salon. Surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful countryside, with thousands of hectares of moors and forest, it makes the perfect place to stay, with numerous public footpaths and the well-known Scalby Beck, which winds its way to the coast. A weekly farmers market is held in the grounds of St. Lawrence’s Church Rooms, selling local produce. With Scarborough on the doorstep, with its fine, sandy beaches, good restaurants and bustling town centre, Scalby provides a lovely retreat after a busy day out!
