The Great British seaside holiday can be yours at this smart and simple home in Saltburn. Just a nine-minute walk from the sandy beach, it's conveniently close to the train station, on one of the town's main streets. Set on the top floor of a period terrace, there are views across the rooftops from its twin living room windows. Decorated in modern neutral shades and with a lovely flow to the layout, it's a perfect apartment for a couple or a solo traveller. We particularly love the huge, comfy bed and the oversize shower in the bathroom. Freshly renovated, everything feels new and high-end.
With a well-kitted-out kitchen (complete with a vintage stove now used as a decorative piece) you can easily knock up meals at home, but eating out is easy with pubs and cafes on your doorstep. Stroll down to the lower promenade for a walk, taking in the pier, experience the country's oldest functioning cliff lift and admire the colourful beach huts.
