The property is approached along a private road, surrounded by open fields, with views to rolling hills and woodland.

As well as the beautiful landscape, there is an abundance of wildlife; foxes, hares, badgers and roe deer are frequent visitors, as are buzzards, kestrels and skylarks, with swallows darting in and out of the buildings in summer. Stillington is the nearest village, 2 miles away, and has a shop and a choice of pubs.
