Lovely and peaceful hideaway.. Some beautiful alpacas who the friendly owner Sarita allows you to walk with her. Owners live close by but are not at all intrusive and are always at hand should you need anything. Clean and comfortable barn conversion. Very generous welcome pack on arrival and even feed for the chickens and alpacas. Some thoughtful touches for that extra special break. We would recommend this holiday let in this beautiful place

We thoughly enjoyed our break at Erica’s Eaven.. The property has everything you need and right on your doorstep is the Yorkshire Moors which our dogs enjoyed exploring. It is a stunning quiet spot to get away from everything but you are still able to travel to York and other surrounding villages. We will be back.

Stunning! The cottage is beautiful and in such a perfect quiet location surrounded by beautiful animals.. The additional touches of biscuits, eggs, milk, chocolate, newspaper and prosecco left for us was simply perfect and very thoughtful of the owner - very much appreciated. Can't wait to return next year.

On arrival at the cottage we were greeted by the owner, Sarita, who was very nice.. We were amazed at the complimentary wine, chocolate, cookies, milk, dog treats, newspaper etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The facilities were all that you need but just one minor thing lacking was an iron and ironing board, however Sarita very kindly loaned us hers and is looking to providing them for future guests. We loved seeing the vast array of different breeds of chickens, and the sheep and lambs were a delight to watch and they were very friendly. Be aware that there is no mobile phone signal ,as you are in a valley, although there is Wifi, I was a bit concerned about this as my husband is of poor health but we could have messaged someone on wi fi, if we had needed medical help in the middle of the night. All in all a lovely relaxing holiday

The owners couldn’t have done more to accomodate us during our stay.. A vac isn’t provided but they gave us one when we wanted it. They left some niceties in the cottage for our arrival. It’s also got everything to get on with cooking, so no salt pepper oil or foil is needed. It’s clean, fresh and a lovely location for many nice places.

The location and facility were wonderful with some really nice added extras provided - Proseco, locally sourced chocolate as well as tea, coffee, milk and sugar.. A really peaceful, remote retreat but a close drive to York, Whitby and Scarborough with 2 local villages within 1 mile ‘Gilamore’ and 3 miles ‘Kirkbymoorside’. Great value and highly recommend.

A very well appointed cottage, comfortable, spacious and well decorated. We were able to take our dog out for lovely walks straight on to the moor. There are so many interesting places to visit close by including Helmsley, Castle Howard, Whitby and the North Yorkshire Railway. And lots of great places and pubs! The owners are on hand for any advice on walks and the best pub grub! All in all a highly recommended cottage and area to visit.

The property is very well laid out, well equipped and comfortable.. The owner was there to meet us and made us very welcome. Lots of nice surprises provided for us to enjoy, particularly the fresh eggs and biscuits. We struggled a bit with the shower which is an extension off the bath taps. The property would benefit from having a proper shower fitted Nice big bedroom with king size bed which was very comfortable. Its in a good location for the east coast, lots of interesting villages and market towns near by, plenty of walking locally and cycling if you don't mind the hills. We would revisit Erica's 'eaven

The location is idyllic, i.. E. isolated, but not far from a village and pub! Sarita, the proprietor, was most welcoming and helpful. This property is thoroughly recommended.

A very comfortable, warm cottage set in a beautiful quite farm location.. It is ideally situated to explore the glorious Yorkshire Moors and it many attractions. Ideal also for those who are keen walkers or horse riders. The owners who live on the farm could not be more friendly or helpful. On the farm they keep Grey Faced Dartmoor Sheep, Friesian Horses and Free Range Chickens that provide delicious eggs. We and our dog Daisy are planning for our next visit.

We liked everything! I cannot praise this cottage highly enough. Rural location, working farm environment, pet friendly, excellent hosts and five star accommodation. There was plenty of hot water and heating, when and as required. Spotlessly clean and immaculate both inside and out. Made to feel welcome from the start.
Mrs Phillipson
June 2016
We could not fault this cottage in any way. The hosts were very friendly and obliging, but didn't intrude. A lovely site for walking as walks go directly across the farm onto the moors and down to streams. It was a very tranquil setting.

April 2016
We also loved the friendliness of the owner of Erica's Eaven and the freedom we had around the farm, our choice of time to go was so apt with the wild daffodils all over the moors and around the villages. The sheep and lambs were entertaining to view from the comfort of the sofa's. A place to be enjoyed

November 2015
The owner was friendly and welcoming but also left us to it to enjoy the beautiful setting, views and location near Hutton Le Hole. We loved being based on a farm with the sheep and horses in the field and chickens and pheasants strutting around the place, yet it was very tidy and clean. Erica's 'eaven was warm and cosy and the welcoming eggs, biscuits, milk, breakfast cereals, tea, coffee and bottle of bubbly were a really lovely gesture. I would highly recommend a stay here.
