Fiona was an excellent host.. The cottage was ideal in terms of its location as it is only a five minute walk to the centre of Osmotherley. It is very cosy, well equipped and has a beautiful garden. It was also extremely clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Angela Greig and family.

Cottage was ideal for what we wanted, but when it said Osmotherly was in a village we thought there would be normal village shops but there wasn't,just one tiny shop that had hardly anything in it,you had to drive to Northallerton which was 6 miles away if you needed anything..

We had a very comfortable stay at Belle Vue cottage - it was very homely and had all the facilities we needed.. We especially liked the lounge on the second floor which was light and cosy. Osmotherley is a lovely village with a handy shop selling basic provisions, a very nice coffee shop with fantastic cake and 3 pubs. We ate at the Golden Lion twice and would recommend. Only had a drink at the Three Tuns because, unusually for a pub it stopped serving food at 6pm - really only a lunch time pub. The village is in a great location to easily access the Moors, the Dales and the Coast and we explored all three. Also had a great day out in York which is only 40 minutes drive away (park at Rawcliffe Park and Ride). There is a lovely walk from the village to Mount Grace Priory and Cod Beck reservoir (approx. 6 mile circular). We visited Runswick bay and Whitby, Hutton Le Hole, Helmsley, Leyburn, Redmire and Castle Bolton (with a ride back on the Wensleydale steam train). Also recommend Sutton bank for cycling/walking with amazing views. The only word of warning about the cottage is that if you have a long car ( we have a Landrover Discovery), the driveway is very short and the back of the car hangs over the quite busy road so a bit precarious getting things in/out the boot. Also once parked you can't access the freezer and washing machine in the garage! This is just a small thing though - we had a great stay.

We stayed here as we were attending our sons wedding in East Harsley village hall.. There was plenty of room for 6 people and having two bathrooms made life easier for everyone getting ready for the big day. My husband and I went on a couple of walks from Osmotherley village and Cod Beck was so peaceful. The Three Tuns have a lovely little beer garden for the thirsty walker which was very relaxing.

A lovely cosy cottage, well equipped and beautifully furnished.. The kitchen is excellent with everything you could possibly need for self catering. The flowers and cake when we arrived were a lovely touch and much appreciated. Osmotherley is a picturesque village with great pubs and a nice cafe. Details on local walks were provided in the cottage and the couple we did were really enjoyable. A very enjoyable stay and hope to return.

The cottage was so well equipped with every conceivable item of crockery and cooking gadgets.. . a true home from home. We visited at new year and the Christmas decorations were superb, right down to festive fleecy bedding and throws. The village is quiet which suited us but has 3 pubs 2 of which (Golden Lion and Three Tuns) were excellent.

Beautiful cottage which had everything we needed.. Lovely garden and views which unfortunately we could not enjoy this time as the weather was not very good. Excellent walks all around. A 5 minute walk to 3 pubs and fish and chip shop in village. Handy for sightseeing as only a 5 min drive to A19.

The cottage is beautifully decorated and very cosy.. It's also within easy walking distance of some good pubs and walks. Fiona was a lovely host who went a long way to make sure we were comfortable. We particularly appreciated the starter pack for the fire, the cake and fresh flowers on arrival and the excellent kitchen equipment.

We really loved this cottage: beautifully presented and equipped, lovely gardens, wonderful moorland walks nearby, including The Cleveland Way which is stunning, three great pubs in the village, and the owners were extremely helpful.. We've visited dozens of cottages over the last few years and this stands out as the best.
