A wonderful day trip, Ripley Castle is less than 5 miles away and offers a fascinating insight into the area throughout the ages. Once a home for drovers travelling with livestock, this characterful two bedroom period cottage has been lovingly refurbished. Starting in the welcoming lounge, a sumptuous sofa and armchair face a TV and wood burner. Nestled in an attractive inglenook fireplace with rustic wooden mantel, the wood burning stove pumps out heat and is a welcome treat on chilly nights. Next door to the lounge is the open plan kitchen and diner. Home to polished granite worktops, the kitchen provides a stylish arena for budding chefs. Equipped with an induction hob, fan oven, dishwasher and fridge in the kitchen, a freezer and washing/drying machine can also be found in the adjoining utility room. Also, in the utility room is a downstairs WC. For cosy evenings in together, the traditional farmhouse style dining table and chairs are next to another inglenook fireplace, this time containing an electric fire. In the dining room, there is also a comfortable sofa, offering somewhere cosy to sprawl out after a delicious evening meal. Upstairs, two bedrooms with en suite facilities can be found. One bedroom has a super king bed that can be made into two singles if necessary. This bedroom is furnished with a luxurious comfort sprung mattress, a wall mounted Smart TV and en suite shower room with walk in monsoon shower. The other bedroom also boasts a super king bed, comfort sprung mattress, wall mounted TV and en suite with a walk in shower and separate bath. To complete the picture, the upstairs landing has a small recess area with an armchair and bookcase. Outside, extensive grounds wait to be explored, including an enclosed orchard filled with lush fruit trees, including Bramley Apple trees. An outdoor seating area with table, chairs and BBQ invites guests to tuck into a spot of al fresco lunch with a backdrop of jaw dropping views.
