Pleasant quiet area - only four lodges on the site with individual parking.. Lodges are positioned so you don’t really look out at the other lodges so privacy isn’t a problem. Ash lodge is quite dark inside - could do with a light tube fitting for some additional natural lighting in the main living area & a jug would have been helpful when making up flasks. Overall the lodge is comfortable and clean, we had no worries about holidaying in self catering accommodation during the current climate. Would recommend to anybody and only a 5 min drive from Masham and the best fish & chip shop. Stop at Masham on your way in - market is on Sat & Wed’s.

The Lodge was very clean and in a great location.. It was lovely to be out in the countryside surrounded by trees.

The bedding needs replacing as the sheets and mattress protector are very thin and bobbly .. I wore socks to bed as the feel was not pleasant.

On one of those single beds were long hairs & the women have short hair.. Stains on one of the duvet covers in the single. We know no towels were provided made clear that we had to bring our own but found it disappointing to have to do this. We tided up but felt having paid The amount we did they would have had a cleaner themselves. We were ok washing pots etc but having to Hoover etc is beyond us. Sorry to feel this way but it’s our views.

A brilliant location, great value for money and a cosy get away for 3 nights! We stayed here with 2 family members for the first night then it was just myself, my partner and our dog. We really loved using this as our base, with lots of local footpaths and attractions close by (Mash, Brimham rocks, Ripon etc). The lodge had everything you could need, including cutlery, jigsaws, TVs in bedrooms and books. There's a little sense of community feel to the lodge too if you get talking to others on the site. A couple of things to note - no DVD player in the central living room for those wanting to cuddle up and watch a film on tv/as a family. The dishwasher didn't seem to work, however could have been us not understanding how to use it! The rooms were clean but we found the main table sticky and the main living area could have done with a thorough hoover. There is no phone signal (which we loved!) but we were a little concerned with safety. Minimal contact was nice, with the use of a safe key box. We would absolutely recommend to others, especially if you want a little trip away with dogs!

A lovely quiet and private cottage/lodge. It was modernised throughout, cosy and what we required for a lazy Easter weekend.
