Lovely cottage and great location.. However, the parking is an issue and should REFLECT in the price of holiday rental as I think some people would find this a problem. I did phone up prior to leaving as I realised there was no parking included. Lady said there was street parking but on a "first come" basis. The road outside actual rental is only one car wide, and then becomes slightly wider, two car wide - just. We parked on the 2 car width section and carried our belongings to cottage.
We didn't move it for 4 days as we walked, and also caught the train to other towns. But we used the car thereafter. We were very lucky for parking for next couple of days upon our return. However, on the Friday evening there was no parking whatsoever and we had to leave it a good 5 minutes walk away. That wasn't too bad but I was aware we had to load car up on Saturday as we were leaving. Fortunately we were up early, and my husband noticed someone leave and rushed to bring our car back.
With no "easy" available parking it somewhat alters your experience. It stops those "oh lets pop to...……………." moments as if you have a parking space you are aware that if you do pop somewhere, even to the local shop, then the likelihood of finding a parking space upon your return is doubtful.
