"We had a great stay at Seahorse cottage, it was pretty much everything we wanted."
Well equipped, clean and cosy, family friendly, close to the old town, and the sea for the beach/walks. Would highly recommend, and would stay again.
-
"Lovely position close to town and harbour."
Internet problems intermittently. Very comfortable bed. Sofa is soo uncomfortable and coverall and rug in sitting area was badly stained which detracts from the overall experience. Parking on nearby streets just about doable but may be a real problem at a busier time. Outdoor furniture tatty.
-
"Beautiful property and a stones throw from the Harbour."
-
"Lovely house,great location,lovely holiday."
The only downside is no parking but know there's nothing u can do about that
-
"Some of the taps need to be fixed back properly along with the smaller room door handle (could be dangerous if shut door and they’re alone!"
Get stuck. The whole home was welcoming, ideal location, clean to a standard but I think sofas could have been hoovered more thorough as it is a dog staycation building but this was no major issue as hoover is available to use so I just did a quick run around my self and enjoy having a hoover daily as I brought my dog along. The larger bedroom bed was so so soooooo comfortable I slept so well (apart from having a 3 month baby haha) Would stay again for sure! Thanks

"We had a fabulous week in Seahorse Cottage."
The Cottage was so cosy and had everything we needed. Though there is not any parking, we were very lucky and were able to park just up the road. When we are away we like to walk or use public transport so the car stayed there all week. We loved the position of the Cottage. Just a short walk from everything yet lovely and quiet. Weymouth never fails to be brilliant, with something for everyone. Thank you x

"Lovely property and location would stay again"

"Lovely, clean cottage in a great location."
Car needed to be parked in a nearby road, but not a problem as everything is within walking distance; beach, shops, harbour, bars, restaurants, etc. Kettle was broken when we arrived, but after a quick email, a new one was bought and waiting for us when we returned from our day out. The only things that do need replacing is the garden furniture (very uncomfortable) and the iron and ironing board. Apart from that, we had a fabulous stay and will definitely be returning
-
"Very enjoyable stay and we'll definitely return."
The only niggle is the Keybox, which as noted before needs replacing. It's just no fun to arrive late in driving rain and have to struggle with it for 15mins.
-
"Lovely house in a great location."
We stayed at Seahorse Cottage for 2 weeks in January and loved it. We really appreciated the sun room at the back to make the most of the daylight and view of the lovely courtyard which would be a nice place to enjoy in warmer weather. The kitchen was really well equiped.
-
"Property was as described, had a couple of minor issues but Dream Cottages were very responsive, the key safe box was broken and was reported (as it had been before - I had seen on other reviews) was told it would be replaced but it wasn’t."
There was everything we needed available in cottage. Would stay again.
-
"No information on rubbish sorting or collection."
Key safe not working. But comfortable and well equipped and close to harbour.
-
"Loose taps within the property making them difficult to use."
Furniture very uncomfortable, particularly on the patio. Not enough seating for all guests on the patio , and this could do with padding.
-
"The cottage was very comfortable and clean, the parking is a problem but we already knew about that, near to all amenities, the big issue was the patio seating area the plants where all overgrown on the slabs they needed a good cutting back, the slabs needed a good clean it looked shabby, to be honest we could not sit out at all as it was a mess, there was a table but only 2 chairs ?"
For accommodation for 4 people.if it had some TLC it would make a big difference.
-
"Lovely cottage We felt very relaxed during our weeks stay even the dogs seemed relaxed!"
Everything you needed was in the property. Loved the little court yard with the beautiful passion flowers.
-
"Get little house in a great location."
All the facilities we needed to have a great stay. House very clean but rear outside area could do with a quick brush and washdown as there was a lot of old foliage on the patio furniture and patio not making it very inviting to sit out on. Stairs very steep if elderly I would say.
-
"Lovely cottage ,with nice garden ,in a quiet part of Weymouth ,yet also very close to town ."
-
"Lovely house in great location but the garden needs some attention."
Full of weeds and dead leaves..a small amount of attention would have made it more pleasant to sit in.
-
"Beautiful property and great location."
Parking wasn’t an issue during the Easter week we were here. Everything you need within such an easy reach of the harbour.
-
"Such a Gem!"
From the location to the house this was just perfect. Steep stairs but that was fine for us. We were able to park less than five minutes from the property all week. About a 5-10 minute walk to the harbour and 10 minute walk to the beach. There is also a section of beach for dogs all year round if going at peak times. We absolutely loved it here and were looking when we could return before we even left.
-
"Beautiful well equipped cottage which felt very homely."
Spotlessly clean. Great location. Parking not easy but this was pointed out beforehand. Would definitely return.
-
"The cottage is lovely."
.. Need a more comfortable sofa, I like to snuggle !!!! Had an amazing restful break, would stay again!! Thank you... xx
-
"The house was nice ,but needed some tlc could do with a lick of paint ,garden space was small with a table with 2 chairs when it's a 4 person house ,but in a good location for amenities."
-
"The only drawback was the lack of a parking space."
This may have been helped with the issue of a permit as there were a number of areas we could have parked that were permit holders only. However there is an area near to the cottage that accommodates a number of cars that another resident told us about and we were able to park there a couple of times but it’s not guaranteed. Other than that it’s s lovely cottage with plenty of room and is very close to everything you want to see and do.

"Seahorse cottage was more than we could hope for and was certainly a massive part of the holiday."
The house was clean, spacious and as described. The stair are very steep and do require you to be careful on them. Only thing I would also recommend noting would be there is a whole floor for the owners personal belongings as well as some wardrobe space in the master bedroom being locked and used by the owner. The community was lovely and the neighbours made a massive impact on the holiday- was lovely coming back from a day out and being able to chat/have a drink with the community, of course there is no pressure to, but would highly recommend to really understand how family orientated the community is. Will be booking for next year!

"Fantastic location close to the old harbour, very handy for bars and restaurants."
Loved walking the dog round Nothe. Only issue was lack of car parking which may put us off returning.
-
"Cleanliness acceptable."
Nice modern décor. Good linen/towels. Many light bulbs not working. No shaver sockets (who doesn't have electric toothbrushes). Most toilet roll holders/towel holders wobbling. No welcome pack. Dreams Office is convenient to pop in and discuss issues (Dreams cottages Weymouth), great benefit of booking. Second bedroom would be better with option of 2 singles or a double (we know this before we booked, just saying). Lovely location, on road parking is 50 yards away its busy but can normally find a space.
-
"The courtyard could do with a clean and tidy if the plants."
Not at all like the picture you are showing. Also the table and chairs outside could do with replacing didn’t use them.
-
"Excellent property, very clean and just as described plus in a good location."
Couldn’t fault anything and would recommend both booking process, communication and property itself.
-
"It was home from home, a really lovely experience, I am looking at going to Sea Horse cottage again."
Very modern, clean all mod cons, perfect for a small family, and if you don't want to go out you can stay home and just chill. Everything you need is within walking distance, and other areas such as Lulworth and Swanage are barely half and hours drive away. There is a lovely little garden for the dogs and a great conservatory for you to spend a sleepy afternoon in. You can walk to the bay of Weymouth daily with your pets and have a nice cup of coffee or tea or something stronger if you wish and have a leisurely walk back home. The beach is just across from the bay and the beaches are clean and perfect for you and your dogs in the dog only beach.

"The description was inaccurate."
Due to this we would not have booked this property. Unfortunately it was too late to change when this inaccuracy came to light. I have had to call in regards to this several times with pretty much no return calls from Sykes at all. I have spent more than 4 hours waiting on the phone to date. I am currently still waiting for a call from a manager on my request for some 10 days now. In my experience with Sykes to date, this feedback is pointless and a waste of time as nobody will respond to this and I will have to continue to chase a call from a member of the management team. It is a shame because we have used Sykes several times in the past with no problems but the first time we have had an issue the customer service is nonexistent.

"The house is lovely."
We are definitely going to book again...soon! We have booked with Dream Cottages 7 times and have never been disappointed. Thank you.

"This is a lovely cottage, spacious and makes excellent use of the space."
It is well located for the harbour side where we took many boat trips, the beach and local shops and bars. We even managed to walk from the cottage to Portland! It took about an hour but it was a nice walk! We had a thoroughly good time! The only slight negative is the parking - there is no guaranteed parking and the road where the cottage is unfortunately isn't wide enough to park and allow other cars past. We did manage to find somewhere to park on a surrounding road which took a couple of attempts. We didn't dare move the car all week as parking did seem to be at a premium! Everything however was within walking distance so it wasn't really needed, although we had hoped to visit Bennetts Water Gardens, the Swannery at Abbotsbury and Exeter but we didn't wish to lose the parking space! Besides there was plenty to do in Weymouth itself so all in all a very enjoyable holiday!

"The best holiday home we have ever stayed in."
Close to everything and very clean and tidy. Only down side is parking. There is no parking space for you on arrival. We did park in ground nearby but had to block to local residents in so not so good. Mid week was guaranteed space but the not knowing meant we didn’t take car out all week something we have never done before so stayed in Weymouth which wasn’t so bad. Other properties around do seem to have an area you can book so maybe the owners of Seahorse Cottage could get something like this going forward. For location and a fantasist home would give 10 out of 10.

"This cottage is situated in a Perfect location in Weymouth."
We throughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful cottage and we can't wait to visit again. Being in the old harbour near Brewers Quay/Hope Square was ideal for us. Weymouth is such a beautiful location which we can't believe we have never visited before!

"Fantastic. Just as the picture showed."
Beautiful part of the country.

"Lovely cottage and great location."
However, the parking is an issue and should REFLECT in the price of holiday rental as I think some people would find this a problem. I did phone up prior to leaving as I realised there was no parking included. Lady said there was street parking but on a "first come" basis. The road outside actual rental is only one car wide, and then becomes slightly wider, two car wide - just. We parked on the 2 car width section and carried our belongings to cottage. We didn't move it for 4 days as we walked, and also caught the train to other towns. But we used the car thereafter. We were very lucky for parking for next couple of days upon our return. However, on the Friday evening there was no parking whatsoever and we had to leave it a good 5 minutes walk away. That wasn't too bad but I was aware we had to load car up on Saturday as we were leaving. Fortunately we were up early, and my husband noticed someone leave and rushed to bring our car back. With no "easy" available parking it somewhat alters your experience. It stops those "oh lets pop to...……………." moments as if you have a parking space you are aware that if you do pop somewhere, even to the local shop, then the likelihood of finding a parking space upon your return is doubtful.

"We absolutely loved Seahorse Cottage and would love to return."
The location was ideal for walking to town and the beach. Was very clean and had everything we needed and dog friendly! Parking is on a first come, first served basis so it did mean leaving the car further up the road from the property but we did manage to get a space on the days we had travelled out of Weymouth. The only negative comment we can say about this booking is that the cleaner turned up 40 minutes before departure time to see if the key had been left in the safe deposit box and the clean laundry was also dropped off for them. We have not experienced this before when previously booking with you.
