It is a lovely place in a very pretty & tranquil location.. No frills particularly but very homely and comfortable from the first moment you step through the door. Perfect as a base to explore across North Cornwall & with some lovely walking straight out of the door too. Sitting with a cuppa or glass of wine watching and listening to the stream tinkle past is perfect for letting go of the cares of the world. Practicalities: There's ample parking, everything in the kitchen works, there's a drawer full of ideas where to go & a nice range of books and some games to keep you entertained. The TV is freesat and has plenty of channels to go at also, but if you can't live without you smartphone, then you may get a bit jittery, phone signal is pretty well non existent inside the solid stone walls and the free wi-fi isn't up to much, though with the nice eateries, family & pet friendly pubs and glorious coastline scenery so close, you'll soon forget such first world niggles.

If you like woods, streams & waterfalls then this is a MUST visit. As soon as my taxi pulled into the driveway I immediately knew that this was the place for me. The beautifully landscaped garden blends into the wooded area perfectly, with a private walkway through the woods that leads to the famous St. Nectan’s Glen (60ft waterfall). Mill Cottage where I stayed (three cottages and a house for holiday let’s) was delightful, with views of the garden and stream. Everything one needs is supplied, even hot water bottle! The owner Robin Evans lives in The Keep adjacent to the cottage and was so very helpful, with an expansive knowledge of the area and wildlife. It is only a 15-20 minute walk in to Tintagel, (legend of King Arthur abounds) with Rocky Valley even closer. The dramatic coastal scenery is all within walking distance, however it is the wooded valley that just melts your stress away. 10/10 Thoroughly recommend staying here, it’s a truly delightful, magical place.

Magical setting, the woods and sound of the stream just dissolves any stress.. Beautiful landscaped garden that blends perfectly with the wilder side of nature. The cottage exceeded my expectations, well supplied with everything one needs (even a hot water bottle and torch). I had a very comfortable stay and the owner of the property was so helpful and informative. 10/10 Definitely recommend a visit.

The cottage is lovely.. All you need for a good holiday in a great location. Very friendly owner. All info given by Sykes was spot on. It might be handy to make it very clear in the final info that no towels or tea towels are provided. I had forgotten, but uckily the owner reminds you when you ring him for last arrangements! 10 out of 10 for us for this holiday!

July 2018
Beautiful location, well kept surroundings. Close to Tintagel town (walking distance), quaint and romantic cottages with a simple but suitable feel to it. Simple but functioning ammenities (Inc kitchen). The owner could not have been nicer or more helpful. Well kept and clean cottage with a secure feel to the secluded collective of cottages that the owner has. Each cottage has a different vibe to the front but they are all quaint with an old time feel to them, will definitely return in the future. Comfy beds and beautiful view, you can hear the stream when the windows are open which adds to the cosy and relaxing atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.. There are not a huge amount of stairs either making it suitable for most. A lot of character to each property makes them a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful gardens and we even had fresh picked flowers on arrival.. Would definitely recommend.

The beautiful surroundings, and peacefulness. We could just walk out of the wonderful cottage and straight up to St Nectan's Glen to the waterfall or across the road to Rocky Valley where you can see the rugged coast line. The best place ever when you need a relaxing break. Thank you

Our stay at Mill Cottage was superb and we would not hesitate to reccommend it. The location is stunning, with lovely walks all around and the villages of Boscastle and Tintagel are within easy reach. The service we received was excellent, with a warm welcome on arrival. We particularly loved the peace and quiet and the walk up to St Nectan's Kieve is beautiful, with the reward of the amazing and stunning waterfall en route. We cannot wait to return!

October 2011
The cottage was in a wonderful location and the stream running through the property looks delightful. A great deal of effort has gone into the preparation of the gardens and blends in perfectly with the woods that are adjacent to the property. It has good access to the local public footpaths and the wildlife in the area is quite diverse. The cottage had plenty of charm, we would certainly return and not hesitate to recommend.
Mrs Hopson

Another wonderful stay at Mill Cottage! I particularly love the location of the cottage as it is so quiet and peaceful, making for an extremely relaxing holiday. The sound of the mill stream flowing past the cottage also makes it very special and it is an ideal place to recharge your batteries. The cottage itself is very warm and welcoming, with a lovely homely atmosphere and I cannot wait for my next visit!

December 2009
Although our stay was spoilt by the weather our stay overall was good. The accomadation was of a good standard and clean and the location was excellent and with better weather it would have been have great to make more use of the gardens and gorgeous free flowing stream that runs down the side of the cottage. The cottage is situated in extrememly quiet location just out of Tintagel but a walk over the hills sees you in tintagel for the local pubs. We travelled around from our location to other places in Cornwall and found them easy to get to and the return was like wise. We went with our two children then 15 13 and despite the weather.
