Area
From the Cornish, meaning 'Frog Pool', Polyphant is close to the convergence of the River Inny and Penpont Water and is surrounded by miles of stunning countryside. Cornwall is a very temperate region of the UK and the beaches are very popular for surfing and other water-sports. The beaches of the north coast are just 14 miles away and also bring you into close proximity to attractions such as the world-famous Eden Project and the Victorian discovery, the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A few miles west of Polyphant, you can take in the rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor with its granite tors, walking opportunities and secluded moor-land villages. The Camel Route, a famous cycling and walking trail is just minutes from here.

Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.

Great little home from home, clean, tidy and fully equipped. There are 3 properties here which weve used many times and can’t fault them, never had an issue. Good location right next to the A30, hosts are brilliant and really friendly.

Good location.. So many places within easy reach. Lovely property for us in a beautiful garden. We came at a bad time when everything had to be booked due to COVID but we managed to adapt by booking local pubs for evening meals or by having main whilst out at lunchtime and eating lighter meal in cottage during the evening. Very relaxing holiday. Owners of cottage very friendly.

A lovely cottage set in beautiful gardens, with a welcoming set of hosts.. The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. The provision of a cream tea on our arrival was a nice touch which was much appreciated.

We found The Wagon House very comfortable and well equiped.. We were greeted by a cream tea on arrival and set about that very soon after getting our bags in ... lush. The view is beautiful and so peaceful. Ulli, Loraine and Cooper made us most welcome. We spent every day out and about so didn't really have time to sit about the garden, but the first evening we had a spell in it before sundown, most restful. A great location, 2 mins down a lane and then onto the A30 for rapid access to the rest of Cornwall.

We had a wonderful holiday and our hosts were lovely.. We wouldn't book this cottage again unless it was just myself and my husband as it was too small for our party that included my dad after my mum passed away and our 2 dogs and us. There are only 2 sofas and they were both very old and uncomfortable. The kitchen was so tiny that nothing was where we expected it........the cutlery was on the other side of the kitchen above the freezer, not near the plates etc. This cottage is ideal for a couple and 1 child but no more. The property did have some dust but I'm very picky as I'm a private 6 star housekeeper. The cream tea that was waiting for us when we arrived was delicious and a lovely touch. The cottage is in a lovely location and we found it easy to get to lots of interesting places. There was lots of information in the cottage too including dog friendly beach recomendations.

It was our first holiday with our dogs.. So we were a bit wary of how they would settle in a new place, we didn’t have to look up for places to take our dogs, as all the information was in our accommodation. Which was a big help.

Have stayed in the Wagon House a few times. Lovely double & single bedrooms upstairs with shower room. Everything you need in the kitchen & cosy lounge with big window, also has sofa bed. Lovely big garden with pond, large patio & conservatory. Great for gathering for drinks/bbq if you have friends in the adjoining Shippon & Granary cottages.

Lovely place to stay.. Owners available for help and advice but not intrusive. Added bonus was the beautiful garden and pond which meant relaxing pre dinner drinks and snacks every evening, regardless of the weather, looking out over the Cornish countryside watching Hawks and Housemartins fly about. A truly relaxing stay - nothing to hear except the birds and the occasional clinking of wine glasses!

The Wagon House was a very well equipped comfortable cottage.. The owners who lived adjacent to the cottage were helpful, friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. The garden, although shared with two other cottages, was large well kept and afforded excellent views of the surrounding countryside. We found the location perfect for exploring both coasts and Bodmin moor. I have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

A lovely little cottage, so cosy with a beautiful quiet garden and all the amenities of home. The sun hits the little table and chairs early enough to enjoy a cup of tea first thing. We had a wonderful holiday and will no doubt return for more! Thank you for a lovely holiday.

We found the property central to the area we wanted to visit. It was well set out and very quiet. The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked a lot for ourselves. We spent most of the time out touring as it was not far from the coast or the moors, but when at the property it was comfortable and had all we needed.

Very relaxing with a wide range of places to visit.. The sunny/warm weather certainly helped make the holiday and made it a pleasure to be out and about. Some nice touches from the owners who supplied homemade scones, jam, butter and cream on arrival.

The owners were incredible hosts, whilst being attentive to our needs they were considerate not interfere with our holiday. The cottage was lovely and just what we needed and very central to many locations. The info pack we received was brilliant and even outlined animal friendly attractions and pubs which we found really helpful. Would definitely recommend the cottage to others for a quiet sightseeing visit.

My husband and I stayed here for a week recently, and had a fabulous time. This lovely quiet retreat is now under new ownership, and the four houses have all been recently updated. Ours was clean, comfortable, cosy, and had all the facilities we needed. It also had a nice patio and garden which would be really useful during the nicer weather! Excellent location, close to Launceston and ideal for all the sights of Cornwall. There is also a decent pub not too far away, I would guess a mile or so. We'll be back!
