The first thing that struck us on arrival is that on the site the property is listed as a house, but on the receipt as an apartment.. It soon became clear that there is a ground floor flat beneath the property. This meant there was no direct access to the garden as expected. In fact we had no pass code to access the shared garden area. This we got after a call.
The next point was that the property was cold inside. Of the 9 thermostats all were either off or in Holiday mode (frost setting). After finding the thermostat instructions i sorted this.
With the 2 items above it would have helped if there was a welcome pack with instructions ie where the towel rail switches are ( another point) where the bins are (yet another), if there was a recycling bin? local amenities (especially as the shop, due to illness, has erratic opening hours).
Usually we find having rented in cornwall > 30 times in the last 20 years, there is spare bin bag and a little washing up liquid, but this was not the case here.
Please take the above as feedback as finally I would like to say the property was the nicest most comfortable property we have stayed in and have already recommended to friends and fellow cornwall lovers.
