Further afield there are plenty of places to visit and things to do, why not visit the tall ships at Charlestown, take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project and/or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also, for those interested in stately homes why not visit Lanhydrock in Bodmin. Step inside from the delightful chimney pot terraced street and hang up your outer wear.
