Podere Cafaggiolo Apartment 3 Volterra, Tuscany

Hello, hello. A great house. Great people who live there. If you want to have some peace and quiet, this is the right place. Many thanks to the family.

Authentic country house in a fantastic and very quiet location between the Tuscan hills. The accommodation was very good, the rooms clean and practical. The friendly landlords always helped us with questions.

The holiday address is 11 km from Volterra in a beautiful hilly landscape. Accessible via unpaved but easily accessible road. Spacious rooms. Owner produces wine and olive oil. Volterra is an old fortified town and in the center you will find cozy restaurants and squares.

The small apartment for 3 people with a terrace has everything you need (except a hair dryer). You can wash clothes for 4 euros, heat for 2.50 an hour. There are bugs but you are in the middle of nature. The long way to the accommodation is made of gravel and crushed stone. Since it hasn't rained for a long time, the path was always a challenge but manageable (if you take the right path, I didn't dare to go left because it was steep and curvy). The holiday accommodation is run by a very nice Italian family. Everything is very clean, the farmhouse is surrounded by nature. The only drawback is the connection to the road network, access to the farmhouse is via an unpaved winding road that goes up and down. The city of Volterra can be reached by car in about 30 minutes.

Beautiful accommodation, driveway with 4km gravel road takes some getting used to; therefore not ideal for cycling tours. Otherwise everything great. Very clean and well maintained.

Excellent choice to spend our holidays at Cafaggiolo with my family. The owners are always attentive and helpful. Structure always in order, magnificent position. I recommend to nature lovers and not to stay in this farm. However it goes it will be a great holiday
