Owl's Nest is a detached barn conversion set on a working farm near South Molton. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms which are a double and a twin room. There is also a bathroom with walk in shower and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is off road parking for one car and an enclosed lawned garden with furniture and a barbecue. The cottage has lovely views over farmland and meadows. Owl's Nest provides a fantastic base for those looking to get away from it all.

Area
The attractive market town of South Molton is known as The Gateway to Exmoor and is ideally placed in North Devon, boasting a range of shops, amenities and a weekly market. Being pleasantly situated not far from both coastal and inland beauty spots it will suit visitors of all tastes. In close proximity are forests, moors, rivers and coast, with churches and other buildings of historical significance. Residents find the quiet charm of the area attractive and visitors soon experience the sense of civic pride held by the locals.

Outstanding friendly hosts. Comfortable, clean, well equipped cottages with information booklet on using the kitchen appliances and how to recycle any necessary waste. Dog friendly with water bowl provided. Very comfortable furniture in living and comfortable beds with quality linen provided. Quality towels provided in bathroom. Cleaning products available, along with washing machine, dishwasher and clothes airer. Local information on walks, attractions, pubs, restaurants etc in the cottage. Free parking spaces and turning point. Guests are welcome to tour the working farm and walk your dog in the fields that are free from livestock (sheep). Fabulous views of Exmouth and surrounding countryside. Superb location to explore North Devon. Would highly recommend Owl's Nest (sleeps 4+) and Jack's Nest (Sleeps 2) for that ideal getaway holiday.

We have just returned from visiting Owl's Nest and we had a wonderful stay. The cottage has everything you need whether it's in the kitchen or throughout the property. A full array of tourist leaflets and books about the area and local pubs and shops to visit, including a local farm for fresh eggs. The cleanliness was a very high standard throughout with comfortable beds and bedding. There is a gate by the stairs to stop dogs going upstairs which was really helpful, also another long gate dividing the kitchen to the lounge it needed. The private garden is fully enlcosed for dogs which we were very pleased about as we've visited properties before which give that statement and they are not. Our thanks to the owner Elaine for being very welcoming and helpful together with the lovely cream tea and flowers on arrival which was a nice surprise. We would have no hesitation in returning.

This was the 3rd visit to owls nest in 5 years everything you need and more Elaine and Michael are very friendly and Ben the dog is a cheeky chap, our tri-paw fudge loved playing with Ben and we had the added extra that he was safe in the secure garden. The cottage is a short drive to south Molton and there are some really good dog friendly beaches. We have already booked again for next year

We really could not fault this cottage.. It was a truly lovely location, the cottage was very clean, well equipped and nicely furnished. The shower was amazing as was the heating if needed. You couldn’t wish for nicer owners, friendly and chatty if that what you want, but also left well alone with just a passing wave when needed. We will certainly return.

Brilliant holiday.. Elaine and Michael were very welcoming. We have a nine year old who loves farming, he was feeding the sheep every morning with Elaine and flying kites in the field in the afternoon. The house is in a lovely position and was very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend this house.

Myself, wife and our two Siberian Huskies stayed the first week in July just as lockdown finished. Elaine & Micheal where great hosts and there was nothing they would not do to help if needed. The cottage had everything you would require from a home away from home. If we every go down to devon again we would have no problem staying here again we had an amazing holiday.

Had an enjoyable holiday.. The owners of the cottage were always on hand if any problems occurred. The cottage was well equipped and the enclosed garden was ideal for our dog. The cottage was ideally located to explore many locations. All in all a home from home.

We have stayed here 3 times and have had amazing holidays each time. This is a well stocked cottage and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The cream tea is a lovely surprise. We would recommend visiting South Molton on market days.

The garden is not as big as the photos show .. there are 6 steep steps up to where the table and chairs are on a very small grassed section.

The Owls nest is a great little cottage.. When I saw it advertised on the internet i thought that's just what I need to get away from the hustle & bustle, just to take it easy and relax, but not too far from the beach or the shops. Elaine was there to meet us on our arrival. She is such a lovely caring and helpful lady, nothing was too much trouble for her. Then when we get inside WOW,lovely kitchen, real comfortable sitting area.Nice bathroom with bath and shower. 2 double bedrooms. Everything spotlessly clean, just perfect. What a super week we enjoyed in Owl's Nest cottage at Poadmarsh Farm.. Elaine and Michael were so kind and welcoming allowing our 15 year old daughter to help bottle feed Hector the lamb and even taking her out to the top fields to meet the other sheep! We were greeted with homemade cake and tea which was lovely after rather a long 'Bank holiday' type journey! There are lots of places to visit within a 45 minute drive and the accommodation is perfect for dog owners. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and there is a private garden (accessed to the left of the front door, not from within the property itself) backing onto fields of sheep and perfect for a BBQ. The beds were comfy and the cottage was super clean with homely touches. We left feeling relaxed and recharged and can't believe we have never explored this little corner of England before now. If you want a lovely 2 bedroomed cottage to do the same, don't hesitate in booking this little gem!

Lovely location in peaceful , tranquil part of Devon , yet easy distance from communication and facilities .. Mike and Elaine , the hosts , are superb . Helpful and friendly and very welcoming. Owl's Nest has been renovated with taste and flair and retains its authenticity ,. Every comfort is provided . I cannot praise the cottage or the hosts highly enough. Most recommended.

Elaine & Michael were wonderful and friendly hosts.. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is in a lovely, not too isolated and access to Exmoor and the North Devon coast is easy. We will go back again sometime.

Owl's Nest is a lovely cottage with open plan kitchen/living area & two good sized double bedrooms upstairs.. The property was comfortable, very clean & had everything we needed for our stay. Elaine, the owner, was very friendly & we loved being welcomed home each evening by Ben the dog! We'd highly recommend staying here.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, very clean and the layout and space was perfect.. It’s also set in stunning surroundings which is so peaceful and perfectly located to get to the local amenities and beaches. The owners of the property were such lovely people, so welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone you certainly won’t regret staying here. We will definitely be going back next year and look forward to seeing Michael and Elaine for a drink in the garden and of course there amazing dog ben who was totally adorable.

Owl's Nest is a lovely cottage in a beautiful rural location, offering great views across North Devon and Exmoor.. The cottage is very well appointed and we wanted for nothing. The garden is secure, secluded and has a barbeque and garden furniture which we enjoyed using during this balmy, unforgettable summer. We had a great week here and Elaine and Michael are lovely hosts and Ben, their working sheepdog, is full of fun and loves to play ball. We hope to come back and savour the Devon life again another day!

We had such a great time on Podmarsh Farm.. Elaine was a very nice host, the nighbours in the other House were friendly and the weather was from his best side. Everything was so well equiped, the kitchen, the BBQ outside and the beds were comftable to get a good night sleep. A very nice place to stay! Comfortable cottage accommodation in South Molton, accepts pets. Well stocked on necessities e.g. kitchen utensils. Cream tea waiting for us on arrival :) Bedrooms are fair sized and also comfortable. Would recommend to others and return too.
