Lovely stone cottage, perfect location as a base to explore the Yorkshire Dales, 10 mins drive from Skipton, half hour from Bronte Falls/Howarth, 40 mins from Malham and lots of other amazing places. Set in stunning scenery on a quiet road just few steps from a lovely country pub, the Hare and Hound which does fab food in a lovely atmosphere. Not noisy so don't worry about that. The cottage is very clean, a really good size, light and airy, lovely living area, comfy beds, well equiped with plenty cleaning equipment, towels, bedding and hand wash provided. We also received a lovely welcome pack of fresh bread, banana cake, milk, eggs and bottle of prosecco which was a lovely touch. The host was very helpful with any questions we had. Would highly recommend this cottage and would definitely return, felt like home from home.

What a lovely cottage to spend a few days. This is so comfortable and well equipped and definitely wish we had stayed longer. We were so surprised at how much was provided to make our stay home from home. There was everything a family need for self catering including cake tins baking paper and fan oven. It took a while to grasp how to use things including dishwasher and washing machine but all instructions are found in the kitchen cupboard. The cottage includes a cloakroom en-suite bedroom and family bathroom. Very clean inside with quality furnishings bedding and comfortable beds. There is a village pub providing food and although it’s fairly remote we accepted a car was essential to get about. No local shop on hand but free range eggs , honey and baked cakes on sale in a cottage nearby. Don’t hesitate to book this for a short break anytime of the year.

The location of the Cottage is great and the cottage space is good for six.. Crockery and cooking utensils could benefit from replacements. Cottage was rather dusty in places.so a £150 security deposit in case of Cottage requiring a deep clean is excessive.

Thank you for an absolutely lovely stay, the cottage was decorated complete with Christmas tree for our stay and we were left a welcome bundle of eggs, wine etc.. The cottage was warm and the sitting room was very cosy. Only has a slight issue when running both showers the upstairs one stopped working and wouldn't come back on.

A wonderful, warm, well equipped cottage in a great location.. Orchard Cottage has everything you need for a great break - comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, wood burning stove and wifi. We were also greeted by a fantastic welcome back. There's a good pub a hop and a skip away. Great location for visiting Skipton and the Dales.

Orchard Cottage is a lovely tranquil place to be.. The quality of the furnishings is notable and comfort is enhanced by easy to access heating, as needed. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage for walkers, families or people just coming to visit the area. There is an abundance of things to do and a great pub 2 minutes away.

The cottage is exactly as described, and very comfortable.. It is in a very rural location, and a car is essential. Narrow country lanes, that could be difficult in the snow if you don't have a 4-wheel drive. The village pub has been refurbished, and they hope to be able to serve food by the springtime.
