Accomodation Details
Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. Ground floor basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.

Area
Cloughton lies 4 miles north of Scarborough, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The village has two pubs on the main street and two on the outskirts. Close by is the popular 'Cinder Track', a disused 23 mile long railway track, that's now used for walking, cycling and horse riding. Popular since Victorian times, this vibrant seaside town retains many of its original fine buildings, parks and gardens, as well as its historic castle which overlooks the town. North Bay and South Bay provide two superb stretches of sandy beaches. There are many excellent visitor attractions, including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa and Scarborough Open Air Theatre for live music. Scarborough is a great location for outdoor activities, with golf courses, coastal walks along the Cleveland Way, stunning cycle routes such as the old railway to Whitby, sailing and championship quality surfing. Add to this all the usual seaside entertainment and bustling promenades located close to the beach and Scarborough is the destination with something for everyone. Ideally situated for touring the coastline and the moors, Scarborough is an ideal base for a fun-filled break.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Self-Catering Reviews

Excellent property exactly as shown in pictures.. Owners very helpful with contacting prior to arriving to provide arrival instructions. Property beautifully furnished and well equipped. Cinder track and coastal path nearby. As mentioned by other persons parking space is a bit tight for a larger car but as advised by owners it is easier if you turn at top of lane. Would definitely recommend.

As stated by previous reviews, parking outside the property can be problematic, especially with an estate car.. However, this did not spoil our stay.

Lovely little cottage.. Very modern facilities and near to lots of attractions. Only minor point to note is that parking is a bit tight.

The chapel was lovely and had all the things that we required.. The location was perfect to near to paths for walking, pubs for a drink and a meal. The only downside really was the parking but we stayed on the main road and the garden as the gate didn't form a secure area for our dogs to go outside.
