Area Seamer is a picturesque village in North Yorkshire close to the seaside, with a nice mix of old and contemporary buildings that give the place character. The main street is lined with historic stone homes. Your options for good eats include three classic pubs, a supermarket, a general store with a Post Office, and a church. Scarborough, a seaside town easily accessible by vehicle, offers a full day's worth of entertainment, from the town's parks and gardens to the old castle that towers above it. After an afternoon of sandcastle-building on the beach at North Bay or South Bay, stop in at one of the area's bars or restaurants for a bite to eat. In addition to the Stephen Joseph Theatre and Scarborough Open Air Theatre, you may catch a show at the Scarborough Spa. The Cleveland Way is a wonderful coastal walking route, and the old railway can be cycled to reach Whitby, where you may hike the 199 steps up to the abbey remains. This is an excellent location from which to explore Yorkshire's Heritage Coast and Moors.
Region The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

This was our first stay here, and we will definitely be back. The house is stunning, and it's only a short drive away from Scarborough and the moors. There's loads of living space and it's really high quality. We've already booked for next year as we loved it that much. Craig, the owner was very keen to make sure everything ran smoothly for us. There were 4 couples and children and we didn't feel like we were on top of each other as there's so much space. The kitchen is to die for, and the kids lived in the garden on sunny days.

Travelled here for a 50th birthday. Arrived and thought wow. Plenty of parking. Set back. Houses to the side and back so not as secluded as it appears.
Entrance was clean and when looking around everywhere else was until we were in the kitchen.
There was still party confetti on the floor.
A broken gin glass was in the cupboard. It had an actual hole in it.
Broken bar stool - luckily we noticed and moved it or someone could have been seriously hurt.
Some kitchen utensils were dirty - food still stuck to them
Used dishcloths left for us
Dirt in the freezer.
Crumbs in the cutlery tray - a lot of crumbs
Glassware was varied but not enough of the same type of glass which you would expect
Poor quality cutlery
No plastics for use in hot tub - no I lie. 4 plastic beakers
The hot tub flashed up a message saying the filter was 16 days overdue for a clean.
Outdoor furniture cushions were dirty and some had mould on
No welcome pack left - not even a few tea bags or coffee sachets. We were all very surprised at this.
Outdoor tables were dirty - we cleaned one for use but left the other as we didn't use it so others who go after us will need to do so.
On the plus side there was lots of toilet roll supplied.
Very disappointed
