We stayed for 3 weeks, was a perfect location, close to high street but without the noise. Easy walk to 2 major grocery stores and all other shops and pubs that you could want. As other reviews have noted, there is only paid parking at the nearby council parking lot, cost 15 pounds/week, is only free parking between 6pm and 9am daily. The double bed is in reality an oversize single, not sure how two adults could comfortably fit. The mattresses in both beds need replacing as the centre has sunk so you roll into the middle, none the less we both were comfortable and sleep well in our respective beds. The greatest concern is the toilet, appears there was a design mistake putting in a full size bath tub causing the toilet to be shoehorned into a corner. I had to hang my right leg into the bath tub to be able to somewhat comfortably use the toilet. The kitchen is well appointed with ample tableware, silverware and pots and pans. The home was clean and maintained weekly by a cleaner, we were pleasantly surprised with weekly changing bed sheets and towels. Communication with the owners was prompt and very helpful, On balance we felt the property was good value for the location and inspite of the toilet placement we would without hesitation stay again.

We fell in love with the house as soon as we set foot in it, the open plan kitchen/diner/living room is beautifully furnished, cleverly set out and well equipped, very clean, and the welcome by Monika who is the cleaner/caretaker there was really lovely, a bunch of roses, a bottle of milk, so warm and welcoming. We knew we'd spend a happy week there, and we did, and were blown away by the cleanliness throughout. (If you're sensitive to air fresheners and such, you many want to ask for less fragrance in advance) Upstairs wasn't as good. Just as clean, yes, lovely fluffly towels, nice bedding - we used both bedrooms as two adults, just to have more space. And space is what is lacking up there. The double bedroom contains a small double bed, 4ft I think, the bedroom door can only open to 45 degrees, roughly, against the bed that is in the way. the furniture is lovely, so is the view over the canal, furniture, decor, all good, mattress so-so, good for one person. The other single room felt more spacious, also fine, we both slept well. The bathroom, however, is frustrating, beautiful with light brown travertine tiles, floor to ceiling, but to stick a full length bathtub in there that leaves only a squashed horse shoe space for the toilet, well, it just beggars belief. My inside leg is 32", very challenging, my leg touching the heated towel radiator, which thankfully wasn't switched on, but the small space for a large and/or tall person is kind irritating to say the least. The cistern is high and very noisy, try not to flush the toilet at night when people are sleeping. The washbasin, close to the bathtub is the tiniest of cloakroom basins which doesn't hold the water properly, arrgh! Why not get rid of the bath, have a wetroom/walk in shower set up in there, and give people some space? Also, there was nowhere to dry swimming or hiking gear, an extendable washing line wouldn't go amiss, but with no washing machine nor anywhere to hang hand washing I had to resort to buy some string at Tesco's to make a temporary washing line. This place would be perfect for one or two very slim/petite people, who don't have wet things to dry and who fit on that toilet comfortably, I think three people would struggle if staying for longer than a couple or so nights. The shower itself is great, powerful, height adjustable, and if, like us, you like to finish your showers with a cold burst, Wim Hof style, this water is cold, boy, good training, we shall miss it. There is a shaver socket on the side of the mirror that can be lit up (switch at the bottom) and the sky light is a nice touch for this windowless room. The cottage is very quiet at night, great for a good night's sleep - if you ignore the extreme toilet flush racket and the blinding security light in the hall, - the fridge, TV, overall comfort is great, with the exceptions stated above. A very central place, easy to walk everywhere, the car park just a couple of minutes walk away very good value, all very easy. You can load and unload your car in front of the door, access to the houses there is tight but possible. Phone reception upstairs, and good wifi throughout. I would have liked to give it 5 stars, but the bathroom bugged me increasingly over the week, - a 4.5 star rating would be the most accurate. Friendly owner communications, too.

The location was brilliant, very close to the town centre but quiet at nights.. Very cosy with everything we needed.

Expected this cottage to be tiny from reviews.. Whilst the main bedroom with small double bed was a squeeze, the rest of the cottage was perfect for two to three people living there for a week and had enough storage and a place for everything. Well cared for, comfortable, cosy and clean!

I enjoyed everything about this cottage - from the fresh flowers on the table to the huge, fluffy bath towels! I came to Skipton for a week of peace & relaxation & Little Wenlock provided that in spades, it was hard to believe that it was only a few minutes walk from the hustle & bustle of the high street. It is tiny & I knew that from the listing but that made it all the more special.

A lovely cottage within easy reach of Skipton centre.. A hand rail at the top section of the stairs would be safer. Thanks

The overall stay in Little Wenlock was great, however the sofa was very uncomfortable (at least one previous visitor mentioned this in the guest book), and the toilet rolls supplied were extremely low quality meaning they were used quickly and better quality ones had to be purchased.. Oh, and a proper pint of milk in the fridge on arrival would be great so you can have a proper cuppa, rather than the little individual milk supplied.

A little gem of a cottage, well located to the centre of Skipton.. Very clean, cosy & beautifully presented. Just one point, ‘the staircase needs a extra handrail, as the steps are steep’. Would definitely return as it’s such a good base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

We had a lovely time in Skipton.. It was a beautiful little town with all the facilities you need to have a relaxing break. The cottage was small but well equipped and perfect for us. It was a handy location for reaching local beauty areas. The parking was nearby so this was not a problem. We found some wonderful local places to eat. The Dales are beautiful and the people so friendly.

A delightful cottage and only 5 minute walk into the high street with all the shops, restaurants, bistro's anybody could ever want.. Had a great week, people very friendly and the weather was amazing. One criticism, the sofa is very uncomfortable indeed, which after a long days hike is disappointing.

Lovely cottage in a fabulous spot, pity no out door space, that in the summer would be a problem, car park 5 minutes walk round the corner so thats fine..
