Casa la Selvolina Roccastrada, Tuscany

We caught a hot, sunny week in July. Our 3 children (5 to 16) didn't want to get out of the pool and the seating area with a nice grill by the house is in the shade from the afternoon onwards. The air conditioning in the house was also a dream. Beautiful, quiet location. The fast internet via Starlink works on the entire property (including by the pool). Ideal for a summer holiday with the family, I think.

Great accommodation for those seeking peace. The house was very modern with great attention to detail. The environment was also very well maintained. The landlord tried very hard and provided a great fruit basket and a bottle of wine. This is a top destination for those seeking peace and quiet. You just have to be aware that the property is very remote.

Heavenly location. Super nice, warm landlord. We felt very comfortable. You should have a sturdy car though as the road to get there is really rough.

Very nice accommodation. The hosts were perfect. There was a guest gift upon arrival (1 bottle of wine, fruit and milk and a bottle of water in the fridge). Wood was freely available for the Baeveque grill. Roberto, the host, came on the weekend to clean the pool (extra early so that he didn't bother us). He also regularly asked if everything was ok. WiFi worked great. TV with Netflix. We will definitely go back to Casa la Selvolina.

I stayed with my family at the Selvolina house. It is located in the middle of the hills far from the town and other properties. Relaxation and silence guaranteed. The pool is simply fantastic. The owner is kind and helpful and has given us a welcome gift. The last km to get there are completely on a dirt road and at times very steep, not suitable for particularly low cars.

You have to REALLY love peace, very remote. But beautiful house in a great location!!

From the last tarred road to the house there are 2km gravel roads max. 15km/h. The morning coffee in Raccastrada lasts at least 1 hour (20 minutes gravel 2x). The place was quiet and we felt completely safe. If you are looking for great entertainment, you will be disappointed here, if you want to shop 2 times in the very nearby XXX (super fine cold cuts counter) and want to get by with a little Italian and then look for peace and quiet, this is the place for you!

This home is kept in top condition and very clean. You immediately feel at home. Only the access route is not well signposted. There is no sign on the main road. The directions on the travel documents were not formulated very clearly.

Beautiful and well maintained cottage secluded with great pool. XXX, the host, is very helpful and goes out of his way for his guests. We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back.

The accommodation is in new condition, clean and furnished with love. There is also a great (unheated) pool. Everything corresponds to the description or the pictures. The on-site support from XXX (only speaks Italian, like everyone else in this area!) is perfect. We were greeted with a huge fruit and vegetable basket. Plus local wine. The start of the holiday couldn't be better. Thank you again!! We felt very comfortable and would gladly book this accommodation again and again. The Casa La Selvolina is beautifully situated in the middle of the hills of Roccastrada, surrounded by forest and olive trees. Pure relaxation! You can reach the house via a 3.5 km long dirt road. Until the next place with supermarket & kl. Restaurants/cafes (Roccastrada) are about 15 to 20 minutes by car. The path is not recommended on foot or by bike, as one or the other dog will sometimes defend its adjacent property. NOTE: Unfortunately, the directions to the house were incorrect: the GPS data given was incorrect and led us to paths that could only be mastered with an off-road vehicle. But now there are also signposts with Casa La Selvolina. Please use!!!

This villa really is a hidden gem - if you are looking for complete peace and quiet in a gorgeous location with the added bonus of a fabulous pool, then you won’t be disappointed! The villa has everything you could need, and the home grown fruits and vegetables left for us by Roberto on arrival were a delicious and thoughtful touch. We really could not fault the villa, and will definitely be returning!
