We had a great 2 weeks. Family group of 11 from age 14-83 years. Great location with amazing views. Short walk uphill to restaurant that sells bread and pastries in the morning as well. 2.5 km downhill to village with small shop/cafe and another restaurant.Pool fantastic and large.House spacious although basic.we weren’t able to use one of the downstairs showers when there. Responsive host who dealt with issues very quickly.Very central for visits to Florence, siena, pisa, san Gimignano and more.

Poorly maintained house and stubborn manager. Only 1 room with WiFi. 1 bathroom was unusable. Window screens broken. Fridge became red hot. There was always a gas smell in the kitchen. Gas also went out. Gas tank turned out to be empty. Was replaced. The lampposts around the house and pool were broken. The manager did not want to fix them. She said that swimming was not allowed after 8 p.m. on the 1st day, the pool lid turned out to be missing. and the pool stairs were broken. We were blamed. The lid turned out to be on the bottom.

Probably the photographs do not reflect just how great this is. C. and her family are lovely people and are very welcoming. The pool is a great size with stunning views and cleaned daily. The house, which is an old property has great character and huge. We were a family of 10 which included 4 small kids and they had a fantastic time. Loads of room outside and in. Very well equipped and the outdoor table very large. The village of San Vivaldi with its restaurant a 5 min walk uphill. Unlit.

The location and the house (from the outside) are very good. The house is very pretty from the outside, the covered terrace area with barbecue and garden with swimming pool perfect. There are even swings with a splendid view of Tuscany. This enchanting exterior reveals an important contrast with the dilapidated interior space. Old decoration, bedding to improve (you can feel the springs) bathrooms (2) vintage, some annoying details (no functional coffee maker on arrival but problem solved the next day), inefficient dishwasher, stuffed shower heads limestone and the water does not come out too well, draining slow showers, electrical network to standards but remains to be seen from which decade?! One socket out of 2 usable, wifi only accessible on the ground floor because on the 1st, frequent disconnection... In short, if all these small details can pass with a lower rental cost, at 3800€ per week, that is not acceptable. We wanted to rent a large Tuscan villa for 10 people, and if once again the house and the exterior landscapes are fantastic (sublime sunsets, Tuscany magazines), the interior services leave the impression of having rented a "gîte rural” for passing hikers. If this situation would not raise any question at a lower cost, the rates applied for a week in summer are not in phase with the interior services. To go to Florence, the train option from Castelfiorentino is to be preferred. Superb towns nearby (Volterra, San Gimignano) and an excellent restaurant 400 m from the house, unbeatable value for money, with a warm welcome.
