If your ideal trip to Italy involves wandering Tuscan towns, afternoons wine tasting, and time at home by the pool with a view, this one may be it. Set on the ruins of an ancient medieval watchtower, this rustic villa spans three characterful floors, with space for eight. Outside, the pool and terrace are made for slow evenings as the sun drops over the hills, and if you’re in the mood for a game, there’s a tennis court, too. The interiors lean traditional, but the setting more than makes up for it – with vineyards close by, towns made for unhurried afternoons, and Florence just 20km away.
