This elegant Tuscan home makes for a wonderful base for those exploring the area. It was built in the mid-19th century and has been carefully reconstructed – it retains its original wide, vaulted ceilings. It’s been lovingly filled with period furniture, and frescoes adorn the walls so it’s a little like stepping back in time to an age of elegance and luxury.
As you wake up in the master suite’s four-poster bed, you’ll feel well-rested – this home is in a peaceful location. Open up the curtains and take in the view of the rolling hills and over the vineyards. The villa can be found just outside of the village of Fabbrica, which you can walk to for a coffee in four minutes. From the garden, the view stretches all the way to Volterra – it’s thirty-four minutes away by car and is ideal for day trips.
Outside, the large paved garden is perfect for dining alfresco, be it for breakfast or for catered dinners. If you’re anything like us, you’ll want to spend much of your day swimming in the salt-water pool or lazing in the sunshine. The pool area is glorious, with spectacular views and enough comfy sun loungers for everyone.
