If you love Italian history or just fancy living it up like an aristocrat, this villa is a real standout. Built in 1624, it was once the country home of Count Cosimo Bernardini, and is filled with ornate details and historic character. It makes an impression from the jump, with two ponds and large gardens dotted with cypress and lemon trees – it's big enough to host weddings of up to 150 guests. It works just as well for a fun group stay, though. There’s a swimming pool and multiple indoor living areas, including a cellar and spaces for entertaining. Plus, the village of Vorno is within walking distance, while Lucca is only about twenty minutes away by car.

*A complimentary housekeeping service is included from Monday to Saturday. *A porter service is offered by your host on arrival. *Guests have access to a tennis, football and volleyball field, a two-minute drive away. *There’s free parking on the driveway and in the garage. *The home has space for helicopter landings. *The swimming pool isn't fenced, and is only available for use between 1st May and 30th September. *Small, well-behaved pets are welcome to accompany you during your stay. *If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide two cots and two high chairs for free.
