Excellent location in rural, yet close to town, setting.. Cottage has ample room and parking. Plumbing could use some upkeep, and a clothes dryer would be helpful since getting everything dry was problematic, but otherwise a fine place for a big group such as ours.

Excellent excellent location! A quick jaunt to Galway or Cliffs of Moher. Walking distance to restaurants/ pubs. Live entertainment from farm animals. Would definitely recommend this place for a larger group- we had 8.

Lovely cottage on the edge of a lovely town.. Just a five minute walk to Kinvara. The Well House was roomier than expected. We were seven adults and found the location and accommodations perfectly suited our needs. The house itself is on a beautiful farm and the cows and sheep were a welcomed touch of country life. Less than half mile away from the Burren Nature Sanctuary

THE ONLY NEGATIVE ASPECT WAS THE LACK OF TOWELS IN THE COTTAGE.. WE BOOKED FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS, FOR 4 ADULTS, AND THERE WERE ONLY 4 TOWELS SUPPLIED. WITH NO CLOTHES DRYER IT WAS NOT REALLY POSSIBLE TO WASH THE TOWELS AND HAVE THEM DRY FOR THE NEXT MORNING! OTHER THAN THAT, COTTAGE WAS MUCH BETTER THAN WE COULD HAVE ANTICIPATED.

Lovely well-equipped cottage in a quiet road just outside the pretty village of Kinvara. Unfortunately all of our party of six friends had to leave early for reasons unforseen at the time of booking, but all of us intend to return at some time in the future. Best holiday venue that my wife and I have tried in Ireland (Out of five)

The only complaints i have are that more seating is required in front of fire and the shower in bathroom was not great.. Pity jacquzzi bath was not working. All together the accommodation was very good.

The Well House is an easy walk to the center of town.. The cottage itself was breathtaking! We were entertained by the donkeys, cows, sheep and the goat. The farm dog became our friend too. Great location for exploring the Burren and close to Galway City. Wonderful experience.

Stayed here in May for 1 week with various family members visiting from the UK at different times during the week. Loads of room for everyone and handy for Shannon airport (less than an hour). Lovely cottage, very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Great kitchen, big fireplace (fuel supplied), plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. I only have one quibble: one of the beds had a nylon duvet cover and pillow cases which were really uncomfortable. As it happened we were not full up so we were able to avoid that particular bed! Apart from this everything was really great. Quiet and peaceful, there were sheep strolling past the back window and a friendly old sheepdog with impeccable manners made brief visits from next door where the owner lives (the owner was not in the least intrusive, didn't see him the entire week as he was busy with his farm I expect - but he was there if you needed him). The donkey in the field made his presence known from time to time - especially if he thought there was a carrot or an apple to be had. Yet this charming house is only a few mins walk to the beautiful little village of Kinvara where you will find everything - shops, restaurants and pubs (check out Greens pub which has been going strong for about 150 years and had a great trad session one of the nights we were there). The village is no longer a working fishing village but it has a lovely waterfront walk to Dunguaire Castle which is a restored tower house well worth visiting. The house is an ideal base for Galway, the Burren, Coole Park (this is Yeats country) and of course the incomparable Aran Islands. We also toured Connemara. I would absolutely recommend this house and I think it would be very suitable for families with children.

Fantastic cottage within 5 minutes walk of Kinvara pubs and shops and a perfect base for exploring Galway, Clare and the Burren.. Much larger inside than the photos suggest thanks to a well designed and well crafted extension at the rear of the original cottage. Very clean and well equipped with good towels and a new frying pan! Comfortable beds and furniture. A real home from home.

The cottage made an ideal base for visiting the local area of Galway and County.. We stayed for 4 days visiting the sights of the West. All facilities were spot on and Micheal ensured that we were happy with how to use the heating systems. The log burner provides a great centre piece to a wonderfully clean presented cottage. People may moan and groan that there is no WiFi provided, but this wasn't a problem for ourselves. I would also warn people that the local border collie is very friendly, but enjoys a good rolling around in the adjoining cow fields.

The cottage was even nicer than the photos and very close to the village.. Even though the cottage looks small, it was really spacious and 10 of us fitted easily. An area to consider improving is the couches. There were 10 of us and only seating for 4, 6 at a squash. Kitchen was well equipped, consider getting a wooden spoon and a better frying pan though! Towels definitely need to be replaced. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and compliment Michael on his hospitality.

I would have been happy to pay extra for wifi and a clothes dryer.. No internet made it difficult to plan the next days activities. That being said it was just about perfect for us.
