This fantastic cottage lies in the idyllic coastal village of Worth Matravers, nestling in the rolling Purbeck Hills. This is a fantastic area for walking, and a pleasant stroll will take you to the sea where you can enjoy the spectacular Jurassic coastline. The coastal path leads westwards to the charming bays of Chapmans Pool, Kimmeridge and Lulworth or eastwards to the seaside resort of Swanage. Swanage is famous for its glorious sandy beach which is ideal for swimming, paddling, boating, fishing and diving. There are plenty of traditional entertainments including pedaloes and Punch and Judy. The town has a steam railway which links with the village of Corfe Castle, famous for its mediaeval castle and thatched cottages. On entering this lovely cottage, which dates back over 200 years and was skilfully extended and refurbished in 2009/10, you will find yourself in the welcoming and spacious lounge which has plenty of comfy seating and a TV/DVD. This room has a light and airy feel with large windows, and French doors opening onto a splendid terrace. The fireplace is built of Purbeck stone and has a traditional wood burner so that, in colder weather, you can relax in front of a real fire. You will also find a charming, light and spacious dining room with a lovely Purbeck stone floor. Heading into the galley style kitchen, you will find it equipped with an electric oven and hob with extractor.
