From here, you just need to cross the River Ouse to arrive at York's bustling city centre. Indulge in some retail therapy in the independent boutiques on The Shambles, one of the most unique shopping streets in the country – it's just twelve minutes away. Afterwards, pop over to the impressive York Minster and stroll through the Museum Gardens before enjoying a pint of local ale in one of the nearby pubs.
