The accommodation was lovely.. Great position, spacious and dog friendly. The house is on the high street and you can walk to Warkworth easily or to the port and the next bay. Lots of cafes in the area. We had a great time

Lovely place too spent a week in to go and explore the beaches and countryside in Northumberland. We explored Warkworth beach and Durirdge Bay, we also had a lovely day hiking in Northumberland National Park, worth a visit. One of the highlights was Holy island and the seal colony. There are lovely restaurants in Amble if you like fresh fish one of the must visits is the Fish Shack in the harbour, best fish and chips and lovely Chowder. The property was spotlessly clean and is well equipped with all that you need for a weeks holiday. There are even some DVD's and books Incase of a rainy day, that is if you do not fancy a trip over to Alnwick to Barters books. Lovely bookshop in the old train station with open fires and life size trains. The garden was safe for our dogs and the neighbours are really friendly. If you have a big car I suggest that you park it on the road opposite the houses nit is a bit tight at the back. will be back for another holiday in the same house.

This is reasonably nice property in a great location for Amble and the surounding area. It's clean, has private parking, a decent amount of space in the house and a clean highchair/ cot are available. If you're not staying here with dogs, then it's worth me noting that there's a definite dog smell about the place, and the soft furnishings hold on to the hair. Also, the double bed has a relatively firm mattress if that is important to anyone. It's a good base for exploring, and I thought the price reflects what you get. But I think there's a number of things that stop this being a really good property, some of which could probably be improved without too much cost. For example the shower is awkward to get to a reasonable temperature - really hot or cold is easy, and it's also not very powerful. The cracks in the bathroom wall could be filled and painted (unless they're structural!), and the bathroom walls could do with a clean/ repaint. Parking is a bit of squeeze, but I managed it ok in my c-max, and when the sun is out the conservatory is pretty unusable. It can also be a little noisy at night as it's on the high street. Non of these things are a problem, but they make it an ok place rather than very good. I wouldn't rush to stay here again, but it's reasonable value for money.

Accommadation comfortable and satisfactory but we left early due to bad weather and cold wind, hope to try again later in the year..

It would be useful to add that dogs aren’t allowed upstairs to the listing.. We spent all week trying to convince our boy he wasn’t allowed - we’d probably not book a cottage with this limitation again. Otherwise a great house in a fantastic location.

This is a great property, spotlessly clean, comfortable a lot bigger than pictures suggest.. Great location everything on your doorstep. We will book again as soon as possible and bring our daughter husband and granddaughter. Oh and our cocker spaniel really enjoyed his break particularly walkworth beach and the dog friendly pubs.

We have a dog a booked as it said Pet Friendly. We arrived to find next door was a building site, the access at the back was not easy for driving down and the garden was NOT fenced in so you could not let your dog out. I wouldn’t even let a small child out the back as they could wander off. The interier is fine but to describe as Pet Friendly is defiantly misrepresenting it. We had to be re-housed by Sykes who were very helpful, but ended up in an area we didn’t want to be so had further to travel to places we wished to go to

Our first sight of the cottage was nothing like the picture we saw on-line.. The house next door to Tomeg was a complete building site, both front and back. Every day the builders arrived at about 9a.m., and banging, sawing and drilling started. We couldn't let our dog in the back garden because half of the gate on the right side had been taken away to allow access to the builders. One of the additions we noticed on-line was a washing machine, this would have been a useful complement to the cottage, but the washing line had been taken away while building work carried on. Therefore the washing machine was useless to us. In our opinion we should have been made aware of the noise and dust, and we would have chosen a different site at Amble.

Parking at back, bit of a tight squeeze.. Next door building work noisy at times, next door back looks like a bomb site, also no enclosed space at back for dog. House itself was clean and comfortable, although a welcome pack and WiFi would have been a bonus. Close to the town and although main road runs past the front it was quiet.

Only two snags, the toaster, because of the make I was unable to get rid of old crumbs; and an extra light in the sitting room would have been appreciated.. Other wise almost perfect. Wonderful area for visiting castles and walking along beaches.

This cottage, its neighbours, the location and the town of Amble is absolutely fabulous. An ideal location to base yourself whilst exploring this beautiful side of the country. Dog friendly in every way shape and form. The cottage is absolutely spotless and I honestly couldn't fault it in any way. I honestly cannot recommend this whole experience any higher as it is truly fantastic.

A very good cottage with decorations and furniture which are practical, especially for animals. Good location for day to day facilities. Amble presents itself as an emerging tourist location in spite of the town's industrial history.

A spacious, comfortable and very nicely presented holiday home! The neighbours are lovely and friendly and make you feel very much at home. The parking round the back was a little tricky but then again our car is quite big and has a dreadfully short turning circle which really didn't help. Zecca's italian restaurant across the road was excellent and also the Indian, Taj Mahal was well worth a visit. Amble is a good centre for exploring the area and Durridge Park was excellent for dog walking! Would definitely stay here again.
