The cottage is amazing.. Beautifully presented and cosy. Owner lives next door and was friendly and welcoming. Ideally situated for Fountains Abbey, Himalayan Gardens and Thorpe Perrow. It was relaxing to sit out in the little courtyard garden. Couldnt fault this property.

The Dower House Cottage was a perfect base to explore Yorkshire.. The cottage itself was very comfortable, immaculately clean, nicely decorated and met all of our needs perfectly. The cottage is situated in a lovely little village, with easy access to the road network which made it very convenient for days out exploring.

The cottage was perfect for our needs.. The owners were friendly and helpful. The pub close by was an excellent place to eat, and the owners were very friendly. Local villagers made us welcome too. Would have stayed longer but cottage was booked already.

A very well refurbished cottage exactly as shown on the website, fully met our expectations, ideally positioned for the Dales and North York Moors.. Although positioned only 1 mile from the motorway Kirklington is a lovely tranquil village and the cottage is not affected by any road noise

The cottage was by far the cleanest and the nicest and the most comfortable we have stayed in so far (& we have stayed in a lot! ) The owner Toby was extremely helpful and friendly and gave us lots of ideas for areas and places to visit. It is ideally situated between the Dales & the N York moors National parks and is very easy to access, and with a local traditional family village pub almost on the doorstep what more could anyone want! All told we had the most wonderful week ,the only downside was that we had to leave it so soon!...we will definitely be back! Thank you Toby & Anna for giving up this beautiful space for others to enjoy. We hope you go from strength to strength.

The property is very clean and comfortable and easy to access either the North York Moors or Yorkshire Dales, also you can visit lots of Market Towns and Abbeys in this area, so lots of interesting things to do as well as nice local walks and villages to see.. Also would recommend a trip on the North Yorkshire Railway at Pickering The owners are a very nice and helpful family, but not in any way intrusive, there if you need them and helpful with local information. The Pub across the road, which has just been taken over with a very nice couple is well worth a visit, and means you can have a nice meal out on your doorstep. The village is pretty and although no shops it is easy to get to Thirsk which has Tesco and also fuel. Masham is near as well a lovely market town with local shops and pubs and a co-op. We would definitely return to this property. We spent a lovely two weeks in October.

The cottage was well furnished and well decorated, the standard of furniture was good and the beds were excellent.. The outdoor space was very private and table and chairs provided. On all this was an excellent property
