Spent this weekend at The Brea with my fiance, what a great place. The cabin itself is fantastic, built by the owners own hands it is an absolute credit, the finish really is top class. The hottub is great, very private and is now fully electric not the woodfired one as in the pictures. Its set in part of the owners garden although you really wouldnt know, its private, you dont see anyone, its just lovely, exactly what we were after. The only thing it was missing in our opinion is a couple of sun loungers (hint hint) that would just top it off. If you have a large car you might not get up to it, iv an Audi TT and its quite tight in places between stone walls. The views are lovely, and its only a short drive from the lovely thornton le dale, pickering and scarborough if you fancy that. We will without doubt be back, it was thoroughly enjoyed

We really enjoyed our stay at The Brae, the facilties were very good, the owners not intrusive and we were not overlooked so we could relax and we loved the Hot Tub. The only couple of issues we found was the the road to get up to the parking spot for the place is extremely narrow even for our small suv with the mirrors tucked in, so if you have a big wide car you would struggle to get to it and there is not much to do or facilities in Snainton itself so you really need a car to get to places like Whitby, Scarborough or Pickering etc.

The location of this property is great. Just a short drive to Scarborough and not too far from Bridlington and Whitby. We thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular views we were greeted by each morning. There was a lovely pub local where we had drinks and an evening meal, it was called the Coachman. Again, just a few minutes drive from the property. The Shepherds hut itself was super cosy and had everything that you could possibly need! The attention to detail was second to none. We particularly enjoyed a dip in the hot tub, followed by lounging in front of the log fire with a glass of wine. We were greeted by a chilled bottle of prosecco and chilled glasses. It really was a great weekend, perfect for birthday celebrations. Although we didn't get to meet the owners properly, we felt that they were on hand should we need anything. We loved seeing the ducks and chickens on a morning. I would 100% recommend this place. We will definitely be back!

What an adorable property in a secluded spot.. The hot tub was delightful. The village occupies the coachman inn where we had delicious food and there is a convenience store close by. We visited nearby locations of whitby, Scarborough and filey. Would and have recommended this property via social media.

I've never felt so relaxed on holiday! I got at least 8 hours sleep every night, mattress was so comfortable and I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee in bed looking at the view. Hot tub was wonderful. Loved listening to and visiting the ducks in the morning. Very good location for visiting lots of tourist attractions. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

The Brae is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed, it is a perfect little getaway in a lovely location.. The owners could not be any more thoughtful as there was not one thing missing, also a lovely complimentary bottle of prosecco and chilled glasses were waiting in the fridge. I will definitely be recommending this to everybody and I Will definitely return. Thank you ☺️

Our holiday to North Yorkshire was a very pleasant experience.. From The Brae, which was a little rustic gem to the surrounding towns and villages that we visited. We arrived to see our beautifully crafted Shepherds hut nestled in its own paddock, over looking The Vale of Pickering, gorgeous. We had a lovely week exploring the North Yorkshire coast and countryside. Steam train rides, beach walks, village markets, all a short drive, from our holiday idle. Would definitely go again and recommend it to all our family and friends.

From arriving at The Brae we felt so relaxed.. We were wowed by the facilities inside the shepherds hut. Everything from sauces, tin foil, bags for life shopping bags was thought of. So there’s no need to pack those little essentials. We were so comfortable throughout our 4 night stay. Loved the hot tub and our welcome bottle of fizz and eggs. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to holiday in the local area.

The Brae is a beautiful handcrafted Shepherd's Hut with bags of character and all the comforts of home.. We had a wonderful long weekend in sunny Snainton and wanted for nothing while staying at The Brae! Owners Paula, Martyn and Katy are really friendly and provided free range eggs and prosecco in the fridge for our arrival, which was a lovely touch. The hot tub is AMAZING and kept in a nice secluded garden to the rear of the hut. To the front, you have a lawned garden and some amazing views over the Yorkshire hills. It's a short drive (around 10 mins) to Scarborough and about 40 mins to Whitby, so it's nice and accessible. We have already recommended The Brae to family and friends and are hoping to make another visit in Autumn, as I think it will be the cosiest place when there's a little chill in the air. We will 100% be back :)
