With the numerous bird species that breed in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Wedmore and the surrounding area are a sanctuary for walkers and birdwatchers. Cyclists will enjoy the scenic terrain that crosses the Levels, while culture enthusiasts can enjoy Wells, the country's smallest city, with its stunning cathedral. Visit Glastonbury, the historic town famous for its yearly music festival and links to all things mystical, while Cheddar, with its spectacular gorge and fascinating caves, makes for a great day trip.
