What a fabulous find, absolutely stunning cottage with everything you needed and more, the attention to detail was perfect. It was a lovely surprise and touch to arrive to find complimentary milk, bread & cakes after a long journey. Very stylish and high quality furnishings , the beds were so inviting and comfortable and top quality linen used which makes such a difference, having the choice of firm or soft pillows was very thoughtful and large fluffy towels. I have stayed in many beautiful places but I have to say this has to be the best, a real hidden gem and hard to beat. Added bonus was being able to park outside in the winter but saying that it does have its own parking space just a stones throw away behind the cottage, I had the most peaceful relaxing time and the cottage was so cosy and comfortable and spotlessly clean. Beautiful sunset and sunrises right on your doorstep. Thankyou for sharing this beautiful home, I don't understand the review below about finding it hard to find the cutlery drawer , wasn't hard at all, I found turning off the child lock a challenge on the microwave, should be for oldies too, by no way is this a criticism , I found it quite amusing!! along with working the hob at first and my daughter swans in and made it so easy we laughed together, gosh I am getting old but once I conquered the hob absolutely fantastic bit of kit! as was the cooker , dishwasher all top quality and you really notice the difference! no expense spared on making this place so comfortable and it didn't go unnoticed. BE CAREFUL AND RESPECT THE SEA & TIDES HERE AS IN WINTER IT TURNS QUITE FAST & COMES IN REALLY QUICK & FURIOUS & YOU CAN GET CAUGHT OUT! But Beautiful to watch & Listen to the waves

Staying here was a dream come true for me. I had often visited Trebarwith as a child with my parents and then with my own children and more recently with my grand children. My wife found and booked The Rock for me and I was over the moon. I love Trebarwith Strand, the history, the cliff top views, the history and always wanted to stay here, as close to the sea as possible. I was so excited to stay here. We arrived (from Manchester) after a bad storm, to find the cottage in darkness. We struggled in the dark to light a fire and find some candles. The village had suffered a power cut in the storm and we had lost internet access and phone coverage. I wouldn't have minded the power cut but we couldn't make a cup of tea (essential for anyone from Manchester), we had been left three small logs for the fire (lasted 20 minutes) and had to drive round for an hour to find shops open to buy more logs. Although the power was back on the next day, there would be a further three power cuts over the week. On the last day, I slipped on rocks on the beach and broke my hand. Having said all this, I would still highly recommend The Rock. Great accommodation, magical setting, brilliant facilities. Maybe invest in gas camping stove.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find the cutlery drawer! :) Two of us and a dog had a wonderful stay in Rock House in Mid-June and were able to completely relax. On arrival, Karen, who had prepped the cottage had left a loaf of fresh bread, scones, cream and a plentiful supply of Nespresso pods for the coffee machine (All of which were fully caffeinated - we LOVE you Karen!) The cottage has two bedrooms with a double and a twin - the twin is larger and easier to sleep in for that reason but both are v comfortable. The rear patio, while unfinished, is secluded and quiet and I was able to use it for my weight bench during our stay. Parking is immediately behind the property but you need to walk about 200 metres as there is no access from the rear - not a problem for brief periods of loading and unloading (During the summer you CAN park outside overnight) The Saturday change over day was a boon, judging by the friday traffic we saw on the way down (we stayed the night before our week at the Mill House Inn, another great, dog-loving location) It's a fabulous location, all of 20 yards from the start of the inlet and about 7 yards from the icecream shop (I averaged 2.5 cones a day) We're booking again next year to coincide with a full, supermoon so the tides will be lower and higher respectively :)
