The owners are very helpful and friendly.. The view from the lodge is incredible. Great base to access so many visitor attractions. VFM for sure

We stay in many cottages and holiday homes and feel value for money was not met.. We found the weekend price was above average for a cottage that didn't offer any extra for the cost. All though the cottage was advertised to be dog friendly we would highly disagree. We actually decided against taking our dog after reading reviews just before we left. The garden isn't secure at all. My dogs would of easily got through the poor fencing and front gate which is situated on a main road. We booked the cottage because it was meant to be pet friendly. We had to pay £100 to kennel our dogs after reading the reviews which put the cost of the holiday up again. The cottage is really clean and had plenty of parking.

What a lovely place! ! This new [ well a year old] traditional looking home is just wonderful. It may look like a log cabin on the outside but the inside is beautifully and tastefully appointed in the most modern style [Shiona obviously has an eye for these things]! It was a home from home with everything you could need for a lovely holiday. The weather was scorching and having the bi-fold doors in the family room made it easy to be out on the patio - where there was a table, chairs and parasol - plus a BBQ for al fresco dining. The master bedroom had doors onto the patio too - and we slept with them open, it was so hot. The lodge is ideally placed for visiting South Somerset and Dorset. We visited the Yeovil Show - great fun, the heritage railway there, Weymouth [ twice], Bovington tank museum, the Fleet Air Arm Museum and the Haynes car museum - plus Wookey Hole and Street [the Clarkes Outlet Village]. We loved watching the planes from Yeovilton - and counted the helicopters coming home every evening! A great holiday - thank you!

Lovely, clean and spacious.. Great views. Well equipped. Everything modern. The heating baffled us and the bathroom door needs looking at- my daughter got herself locked in! We took our dog but as she’s young and quite small we couldn’t let her outside without being in a lead as the gate and fences would have allowed her to have escaped into the road. We found Shioba to be friendly and helpful. A comfortable stay. We would return in better weather.

Wonderful accommodation- spotless, very comfortable and well equipped.. We imagine it would be great during the warmer months , when the doors could be opened in the living area! The location is great, outside the village but within an easy walk . The village has a good shop and pub. The accommodation is also well located near the A303 with easy to access the rest of Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset and Devon.
