Holiday home
Magpie Cottage is a charming, single-storey, detached, former stone barn set on the edge of the pretty small village of South Brewham, near Bruton, and can sleep two people. There is a super king-size bedroom (can be twin on request) with an en-suite bathroom, a kitchen, a utility/lobby and a sitting room with a dining area with a gas fire. Outside there is off road parking for one car and an enclosed lawned garden with furniture. Magpie Cottage is a great holiday base. Please note: This property only accepts 2 week bookings as a maximum stay and does not accept back-to-back bookings.

All ground floor. One super king-size bedroom with en-suite bath, shower over, basin and WC. Kitchen. Utility/lobby. Sitting room with dining area with gas fire.

The small but charming and fashionable town of Bruton is set in Somerset and boasts the popular Hauser and Wirth art gallery, as well as a choice of interesting eateries and shops.

Well located for visiting a good number of small picturesque towns, villages and National Trust and English Heritage properties.. Bath and Bristol not too far away. Friendly and helpful owners live next door without being intrusive.

David and Zena were amazing hosts, very welcoming and friendly.. Set in a beautiful location, there's plenty of walking and things to see. The cottage is spotless, well equipped, and the bed super comfy. We'll definitely be back to explore all the places we couldn't get to.

David and Zena made us feel very welcome by inviting us into their cottage for a cup of tea when we arrived Also there was a lovely gesture of fresh flowers and chocolates which were much appreciated The cottage was immaculately clean with everything we needed for the time we were there just wished we could have stayed longer !

This is a wonderful cottage for an away from it all holiday in a beautiful location completely off the beaten track.. Ideal for walking not far from Alfreds Tower and National Trust at Stourhead. Many historical towns villages and landmarks of ancient Britain and Wessex. The owners are a very lovely couple full of information about the locality and provide a list of places to visit and local eating places.

We enjoyed our holiday in this lovely cottage which was clean, comfortable and well equipped.. Welcoming owners gave us lots of local information and the flowers and chocolates in the cottage were a nice touch.

Of all the houses that we have rented , Magpie Cottage is without doubt the best.. Hard to finde anything to say except that it is really just a home from home. M and Mrs Dabinett could not have been more welcoming and helpful with tips about what to do, where to go and where to eat. All in all, excellent - sad to leave!

My wife,myself and our dog recently enjoyed a fantastic week at Magpie cottage .. On arrival we met the owners David and Zena who,over a cup of tea, were able to offer plenty of suggestions for places of interest in the local area.We found the cottage to be spotlessly clean and really well equipped,lots of interesting towns,villages and n.trust properties within easy driving distance.We look forward to a return visit.

Fantastic cottage, spotless and has everything you want.. Excellent base for exploring the area and further. Bruton is only a short distance for shops and fuel. David and Zena are fantastic hosts. We had a fantastic time .. David and zina are the perfect hosts it's a lovely cosy cottage with the most comfortable .bed .there is lots of places to visit and lovely walks and the veiw from the cottage of alfreds tower and the fields around lovely to sit and relax and enjoy the veiw.looking forward to going back Liz from caversham.

This was a real Escape to the Country location.. Our hosts David and Zena were delightful, as were their pets. The Cottage exceeded all of our expectations. It was extremely comfortable accommodation and the bed was a dream. The treats on arrival were greatly appreciated. This is an easy location to visit lots of local attractions. The people of Somerset are friendly and we will be definitely returning to the area in the near future.
