As the gateway to Northumberland s superb coastline, discover Cresswell Beach (5 miles) for ice creams and Druridge Bay Country Park s lake and beach 11 miles away. Head to Amble s bustling marina and harbour (13.5 miles) for lovely food, and from there, walk along the river to Warkworth s medieval castle and beach. Inland, Alnwick Castle and Gardens (27 miles) is a great day out for all the family.
