We stayed here for a week in January, and were very impressed with the accommodation. The cottage is convenient for the amenities in the town being a short walk away from the main street. The cottage includes some information leaflets about the old buildings in the town and suggested routes to visit them. It was within easy travelling distance of the south coast and Bath, etc. Both bedrooms have en-suites and we found the shower had plenty of hot water. The owners are very friendly and left us a bottle of wine and some daffodils, and came to see us on the day we arrived to make sure we were settled in OK. The week we were there was very cold, and overnight on the day before we left the snow came down and down and down. That morning the owner visited us at 8 am because she was really concerned about us getting home. She couldn't offer to let us stop in the cottage as it was already booked out by another guest, (she'd already rung them to check they were still coming) but she was more than happy for us to stay in her spare room. We felt this was above and beyond what any cottage owner should be expected to do, and was extremely kind of her. The cottage is on the A30, so we were aware of road noise when in the living room, although not in the back bedroom, so we had a good night's sleep. With the exceptionally bad weather we did find the open plan ground floor made it difficult to keep it warm, although we enjoyed sitting in front of the log burner. We didn't get a chance to use the patio furniture. We would recommend this accommodation.
