Loved the property.. Comfortable with everything we needed inside. Owners are a lovely couple. Central position for what we wanted to do. Your company made it an easy experience even with the Covid pandemic.

Peaceful and secure location with excellent facilities.. Very well equipped and clean cosy coach house accommodation. Lovely welcome goodies on arrival with lovely friendly hosts. We enjoyed the patio area and garden and loved meeting the dogs, cat and chickens.

The only reason I’ve said that it met and didn’t exceed expectations is because it did exactly what it said on the tin.. The holiday was exactly as the description suggested and that meant that it was an extremely enjoyable get away.

Second visit, so we knew what to expect.. ............which was all very good. One concern only ; from time to time a very unpleasant smell was noticeable in the bathroom, bedroom ,and corridor that joins them. This was of internal origin ( ie definately not from outside the building). The smell was similar to that given off by blocked drains. We did NOT make the owners aware of this ; it did not seem appropriate to write it in the visitors book! Perhaps you ought to make them aware of this though. We intend to return for a third visit if smell can bev rectified.

Had a lovely 4 nights at the shepherd's retreat very well equipped apartment and a very comfy bed.. There was a very nice welcome pack awaiting us of homemade bread (very nice) some butter, milk, eggs and some treats for the dog who enjoyed them very much. There are several walks on the doorstep across fields and open countryside, the owner was very helpful would highly recommend for a lovely break.

A lovely peaceful location centrally located for Somerset and close to the Dorset border.. Lots of beautiful villages and towns within a short driving distance. Plenty of idyllic walks and in the evening the stars are heavenly. A spacious apartment with all essentials catered for, very clean and well appointed with a lovely welcome gift that included home made bread. A very dog friendly location.

A really beautiful place to stay, a little haven in an area of Somerset that is full of places to explore, many local footpaths and walks.. Having such a perfect gem of a place to return to was the icing on the cake. Welcoming hosts, well maintained, well designed and with everything you need to complete your holiday. The Shepherds Retreat exceeded my expectations and I have already recommended it to family as a perfect place for couple, or like me, someone staying in their own.

We were extremely satisfied by the property in particular with the quality of the equipment, all of which was first class.. To arrive with a freshly baked bread, fresh eggs, coffee and milk was great. The owners were very friendly and to have the option of using a garage was a satisfying new experience. It is a good location for getting to places in Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset and beyond.

I had a fabulous break at the very peaceful Shephard’s Retreat, hosts were brilliant and very welcoming.. This holiday rental is in the grounds of their beautiful home and exactly as it appears in the photos but I felt completely free to come and go as I pleased. They provided everything you could want and lots of local information, both in person and via leaflets and magazines. This is a beautiful part of the world with lots of do. One of my favourite things was to go on nice long walks in the late afternoon, such a good way to explore.

A friendly welcome on arrival, along with a lovely surprise of homemade bread, and eggs from the resident chickens! The cottage had a personal touch, with some thoughtful extras such as kirtchen basics. Immaculately clean and warm/cosy. An ideal spot to set up base over the Easter break. Would be happy to stay there again

We had a fantastic time staying in Shephard's Retreat. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and approachable. The property was first class, very comfortable and in a great quiet location. We did not want to leave. It is perfect for visiting Somerset and the surrounding counties. There were plenty of very good pub restaurants with the nearest just half a mile away and only a ten minute walk. A brilliant week and we look forward to the next one.

The accommodation was brilliant. The location wad quiet and rural with a local pub which was exactly what we wanted. I have nothing bad to say about the accommodation. it had beautiful décor and a welcoming host. For my first ever cottage stay, I was really impressed. Beautiful location with a modern and up to date apartment to return to in the evenings. WiFi was good enough to watch Netflix in the evenings after long days of walking around Somerset.
