We have just returned from a wonderful few days away at this cottage. We had such a warm welcome from the owners with a homemade apple cake and eggs from their chickens. The cottage is huge with plenty of space for 8 people. The fire is amazing and the owners provide plenty of wood. You have everything you need for a lovely break. Highly recommend booking this beautiful cottage.

Things that were missing in the cottage.. Were, a pizza slicer, baking trays and a clothes airer. I slipped on the top step of the steep stairs and pulled tendons in my foot and hobbled for two days and still feel the ache now. The stairs are very steep and carpeted. I wonder if anything can be done to stop other people hurting theirselves?

Had a lovely weekend at this cottage.. Our party was 8 with 2 dogs and never once did we feel we were under each other's feet!! Plenty of room for all. The owner had left us fresh eggs, milk and a lovely home made lemon drizzle cake which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend to others.

This was our second winter visit to Church Farmhouse and it is an excellent place, it certainly exceeded our expectations on our first visit and this time we knew what to expect and were not disappointed.. The owners are very very friendly and it is a good central location. As with many cottages the stairs are quite steep for anyone with mobility problems but you get used to it and it is so well equipped. Everything you could need with the very nice touch of a delicious cake welcoming us all. A great experience. We look forward to returning there in the summer. .

Debbie and Trevor were very friendly and approachable.. We were greeted with a lemon drizzle cake. They had also provided all the basics that one would need initially including a good supply of toilet roll. The cottage was very warm and comfortable. Everything seemed to have been thought about to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. All the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had to report a leak under the sink which they thanked us for reporting. It was dealt with immediately and we were compensated with a very nice bottle of wine. Debbie and Trevor were also very flexible about the time we left on our day of departure.

Lovely cottage, with off road parking, lovely inglenook fire which we lit both nights, comfy seating and also beds.. Needed car, went to Lyne Regis during the day and to eat as no local places to walk to. Owners very friendly and welcomed us with lovely home made cake.

A lovely cottage - real character in a real village.. A home from home - with the added comfort of a real fire! Hosts could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

The ‘cottage’ is very well equipped with more equipment than usual.. We did not want for anything. All rooms are spacious enough for at least 6 adults to enjoy a relaxing holiday and we managed 9 at the table one day and not too squashed!

Beautiful cottage and the people that own it are wonderful people very friendly and very thorough we enjoyed our fresh eggs on arrival and the children thoroughly enjoyed going with the owners egg collecting.. Such a lovely cottage with so much character, very clean and the little things just make it feel so warm and cosy, there are so many things included in this property it surly is home from home. The kitchen provides everything you need from cooking drinks even baking cakes. The bedrooms are so spacious and hold lots of character and the log fire in the living room has such a cosy feel we spent many days relaxing in front the fine. We certainly enjoyed our time here and was sad to have to leave. We will deffinatly be back next year

My family our dogs and I had a wonderful holiday at Church Farmhouse.. The cottage was very clean and extremely well stocked with all utensils, crocks and mod cons we could have wished for. The Harris' were very welcoming and upon arrival we had some fresh eggs from their chickens and a lemon drizzle cake made by Mrs Harris. We had some lovely walks, one of which was straight from the door to Forde Abbey where we had a cuppa and a piece of cake. We also had a very nice roast dinner at The Bell Inn on Sunday. I would definitely recommend a stay at Church Farmhouse and would like to go again myself.

This is our second visit to Church Farmhouse in Winsham.. We love it. The owners are friendly and generous with their eggs, cake and anything else we need. They equip the cottage so well. It is ideal for larger groups, from sitting together round the large kitchen table to spending time apart in the many rooms. It is in a lovely area with a great little village shop and a pub with a games room. Can't wait to go again. Thanks to Deb and Trevor x

Absolutely loved the cottage.. The only thing (which I mentioned to the lovely owners who live next door) is that on the picture booking details, it looks as if the garden is overlooked by another property. In fact it's part of Church Cottage itself which overlooks the garden. Log burner worked beautifully. The whole cottage was so comfortable.

Excellent in every respect.. Our hosts added lots of little touches to enhance our holiday experience. Old refurbished farm building. Modernised well but retaining its old world charm. Equipped with all utilities and appliances required for a stress free stay. Certainly one of the best holiday rentals we have undertaken to date.

Deborah and Trevor were perfect hosts, on hand to help out if needed and gave us lots of tips and ideas of places to go.. The lemon drizzle cake and dog treats waiting on the kitchen table was a lovely touch and made us feel instantly at home. The cottage was immaculate, and a great place to stay, we would definitely come back here. Every little detail has been thought about and the household supplies cater for everything you could think of, and a whole host of things you haven't thought about. It really is a home away from home, and we were very sad to leave.

Superb property, extremely well appointed and very friendly owners.. The lemon cake and free free-range eggs were an unexpected surprise, and very welcome! Very quiet location, and it was a joy to sit out and just listen to the birds sing. We had three generations of our family in the cottage and we had plenty of room for each to have their own space, as well as rooms where we could all be together. Thoroughly recommended; we had a superb time.

Pleasant location with fairly easy access to places of interest.. Stairs to the first floor are very steep. Lyme Regis is relaxed and fairly 'dog friendly' and Forde Abbey has lovely gardens. The Tytherleigh Arms is good for an evening meal in the region of £30 a head.

We had an amazing week in this cottage.. We were a family of eight which included two children. There was plenty of room, good size bedrooms and most comfortable. You could want for nothing, every detail has been thought of, a very well stocked cottage. The children enjoyed collecting the eggs and we enjoyed eating them. Best self catering cottage I have had the pleasure to stay in.

We had a fantastic time here for a week, the holiday exceeded our expectations.. The hosts were brilliant, cakes and fresh eggs on arrival and couldn’t do enough for us. The cottage has everything you would need and more and there is so much on your doorstep, we enjoyed fossil hunting in Charmouth and the Fleet air museum so name a few. We will be booking again for next year. Thank you!

We had a lovely two stay at Chruch farmhouse.. Seven adults and our beagle were made very welcome. Deborah and Trevor were so welcoming, supplying fresh eggs and a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake. The house is fully equipt with everything you could need. Clean, comfortable and well worth a visit. We visited the market in Bridport which was worth a visit and then down to West Bay to a stunning beach. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

Wonderful experience staying at this cottage.. Cosy, warm, fully equipped, an absolute delight. Great interaction with owners who went beyond their duty to cater for us, the free fresh eggs was a lovely guesture. We do a winter cottage break each year and can say this certainly was the best.

Trevor and Deborah are utter gems: they have created a gorgeous rural escape with every possible comfort, need and wish catered for.. The cottage is fabulous; clean and well-equipped, not just in terms of the house itself but also recommendations of what to do in the area, where to eat, etc etc. We came as a group of friends but can see that children and dogs are welcome too - will bring them in future!! Nothing was too much trouble - I can’t recommend Church Farmhouse enough and the two ultimte endorsements which we all shared are: we would happily move in, and we would happily return! THANK YOU for a truly marvellous weekend!

November 2017
Church Farmhouse is such a lovely, charming cottage with log fires and an AGA, but the real difference was the effort made by the owners.. We had fresh cupcakes on arrival and fresh eggs each day, then our children were invited to help collect the eggs which they hugely enjoyed. The cottage is extremely dog friendly too and the owners left suggestions for nice local walks. All the effort they go to means all we had to do was enjoy ourselves- tt all made a short break seem like a proper, relaxing holiday.

September 2017
The cottage was picture perfect.. Lots of space, oak beams, inglenook fireplace and very tastefully decorated. The owner welcomed us with a tasty cake, honey and fresh eggs. Everything was spotless and had a lovely homely feel about it. We particularly enjoyed being able to sit round the large kitchen table for meals together in the very well equipped kitchen and then relax later in the large comfortable living room. A great location for lots of trips out so we didn't need to travel far to see lots of interesting places.

This was the best equipped cottage I've stayed in, it was very clean and cosy.. The owners were very friendly and generous, leaving us a cake, some freshly laid eggs, some honey and new potatoes they'd grown. The cottage was spacious with plenty of room for everyone and easily equipped for 8. Would definitely consider staying here again.

We have recently stayed in Church Farmhouse and we had a wonderful stay. They welcomed all 9 of us. We also had our 4 month old puppy and were grateful for the treats left for him on arrival along with our chocolate muffins which were enjoyed by all. Rooms were comfortable and welcoming, we enjoyed cooking on the aga (first time for all ) Highly recommended and we will return Thank you.

We all had a fantastic time at Church Farmhouse and can't praise the house, the area or the owners enough. The village is a really friendly place to spend time in and there is lots to see and do within a very short car journey. Between our group we have visited many self catering cottages and houses and we have to say that this is one of our favourites.
