Found between two National Parks, Appleby has plenty of walking and cycling opportunities, as well as a range of shops, cafes, pubs, and the historic street of Boroughgate, where you can explore ancient buildings. Nearby attractions include Norman Castle, the Church of St.Lawrence, and the Settle-Carlisle Railway. Appleby-In-Westmorland is a wonderful holiday base, in easy reach of both Ullswater and the Lake District.
