Applegarth is a detached cottage nestled in the village of Cloughton near Scarborough, in North Yorkshire. Hosting three bedrooms, including two king-size doubles, one with en-suite shower, and a double, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep up to five guests. There is also a kitchen/diner, utility, conservatory, snug and a sitting room with woodburning stove. To the outside is a rear enclosed garden with seating and off-road parking for four cars. Applegarth is a lovely escape to North Yorkshire, whatever time of year. Please Note: EV charging point available at this property (the owners will provide further information, prior to arrival)

Area
Cloughton is a little village nestled on the outskirts of Scarborough, on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Within this pretty village there are two pubs and it is situated close to the 'Cinder Track', a disused 23 mile long railway track which is popular for walking, cycling and horse riding. Other walks includes the Cleveland Way which takes you along Hayburn Wyke, a rocky cove with a waterfall and inn.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

A good looking property, neat,clean and tidy. The inside is really, really good , all the rooms clean and comfy. In kitchen there was everything you needed, and all the appliances had a printed sheet on how to use them.The bedrooms were warm and clean,all the bedding etc was a superior named product.The bathrooms also were clean and tidy. The lounge and the small snug are just what you need when the family are all together, there is a t.v in both rooms so no fighting over channels to watch, although we played mostly board games .The enclosed garden was ideal for the dog first thing on the mornings were the guards on the stairs to stop her wandering. Really nice place, well done to the owners for the stunning property, and thank you for the welcome pack (the doggy one as well ) much appreciated.Would recommend and will try to return.

Warm, welcoming, immaculate house, ideal for a family holiday with all the amenities you could ask for. A very well presented holiday cottage, clean, spacious and with excellent quality bed linen, towels etc. The use of a washer and dryer were particularly helpful -January not providing the driest terrain for the local walks etc. Applegarth is well placed for visits to Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and the North Yorkshire Moors. The owners were very helpful and also provided a very useful information pack prior to our visit, as well as a starter pack of milk, biscuits etc. Very welcome after a long journey. Definitely a cottage to recommend to friends.
