Maison La Galine

This was our second time staying at this beautiful villa and we were once again thrilled. The owners are constantly investing in it with great care (new air conditioning/heating units, freshly painted walls, new TV furniture and garden chairs). Since the property borders directly onto a nature reserve, there may naturally be an increased number of insects, but the location itself makes the villa a gem. And with the beautiful, dry weather, the harmless little creatures disappeared. We've already booked our third vacation.

There were numerous worms of various sizes inhabiting the house. When we removed them, they returned. We therefore left after three of our seven booked nights. The agency subsequently stated that they "didn't find any worms" and refused to refund at least part of the rent. Apart from that, the house is beautifully secluded and has a beautiful view. The garden is plain and poorly maintained. The interior and furnishings are also plain and uncomfortable.

This was the second time we stayed in the "La Galine" house. We almost felt at home. There is everything you need for everyday use. A washing machine and a dishwasher, all kinds of kitchen utensils, a wonderful terrace with a view of the sea. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties because of the stairs to the kitchen. We recommend window grilles. We liked sleeping with the windows open. But unfortunately there are a lot of mosquitoes there and we were bitten quite a bit.

Beautiful holiday home in a very quiet location with a fantastic view of the sea. Large parking space behind the house directly at the entrance on the upper floor, as it is on a slope. Access to the ground floor via a spiral staircase (not suitable for small children, elderly or disabled people). Very well-equipped kitchen, everything you need if you want to cook yourself (make sure to bring dish towels, hand towels and toilet paper!!) Large garden, but poorly maintained! ++ 1 toilet per floor, garden grill!

Beautiful, quiet holiday home with a fantastic view. Good, renovated condition, furnishings mostly antique. Functional kitchen equipment. Direct access to mountain biking/hiking in the Esterel Mountains - location is a bit further up the mountain. eMTB's are handy for going to the beach/restaurants.
