The holiday cottage is charming, comfortable and Very well equipped.. Humshaugh itself is a lovely village with an amazing pub down the road, a village shop for anything you might have forgotten and a park and playground for the little ones. It is also only10 minutes a way from Hexham, which has anything else you need like 3 big supermarkets. It was an amazing holiday - thank you

We loved staying at East Farm Cottage.. Inside was immaculate and extremely comfortable, clean, cosy and very well equipped. The bedrooms were bright and spacious, the bathroom modern and kitchen and sitting room excellent. The building is an attractive stone farmhouse with its own courtyard parking area and small garden. The other buildings connected to it and part of the original farm have also been converted to holiday accommodation, but have their own entrance and garden so we felt that our space was completely private. On warm evenings we enjoyed sitting at the outside table in the corner of the gravel yard with a glass of wine. The location is excellent - a quiet back road in a pretty village. The road is great to walk or cycle along and it links up with a network of small country roads. We brought our bikes and enjoyed cycling along these roads, the Sandstone Way and at Kielder Forest, plus an atmospheric walk along Hadrian's wall.

Unfortunatly due to the Conorvirus and the advice of our GP we had to return home after three days which was upsetting but the cottage was excellent as always..

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped but could do with more crockery..

The cottage was stunning! It was very well presented, spotless clean and very well equipped. It had a modern feel yet still retaining the charm of a country cottage, we loved the log burner. The kitchen is very well equipped if you want to dine at home. The bottle of wine and buiscuit welcome pack was a lovely touch. It is in a very peaceful location with pretty views from every window. There is a pub within walking distance that does great food. The stunning town of Hexham is just a 15min drive away with major supermarkets, country market stalls and many local eateries. I would definitely recommend it and will use it in the future.

A bit disappointed that you can’t use the back garden which is only available for the larger cottage next door although their was access from this cottage.. Could do with a few more things in the kitchen ie lidded dishes for microwave and a small frying pan. Otherwise quite a nice little cottage

Just make sure you take milk with you, Coffee Tea and sugar were there when we got there but I did take milk as I read that the shop closes at 1pm.. The shop stocks all essentials and the food in the pub was very nice. I liked the bottle of wine that was left as well nice touch. The garden is quite small which could be a problem if you have small kids but overall a very nice cottage.

The cottage is very comfortable, it had everything we needed for our stay.. It is in the ideal spot for exploring Hadrian´s wall, but also for trips to the Lake District. It realy felt like a home.

It is a lovely cottage in beautiful area.. Very peaceful and quiet. The only thing I would say is the lack of basic necessities. I know it is self catering but enough bare essentials for one or two days would have been appreciated. We drove for over 7 hours, made a cup of tea, opened fridge, no milk. Village shop closed at 12 noon. No hot drink until next day. This is the first cottage, over many years we have ever stayed in that did not have a pint of milk left in fridge. No black sacks for rubbish and no dishwasher tablet left. Even one of each until visitors can get to Tesco in Hexham the following day would have been nice. Other people had left comment in visitors book about this too. Apart from the above, a great cottage.

Details of the cottage are 'estate agency style' - couldn't fully review using street view before booking.. Well located for walking East of Hadrian's wall. Felt homely. Nice pub - easy walking distance. Optimistic parking for 3 cars, 2 was a push because of the gate and borders. The garden was rather unkempt and not appealing for sitting out with cars, bins etc. Garden in one photo is at the back and the cottage has no access to it. Cosy and mostly good, but little things missing like tea towels and extra loo roll (found in locked cupboard) and no oven glove (not worth bothering the managing agent for but irritating). Wine and biscuits a nice touch on arrival.
