Fantastic cottage! Had everything you could need and more! 5 minutes walk to the beach and the local shop in one direction, and 5 minutes walk to a children's playground and 2 lovely pubs / restaurants in the other direction. Cottage was spotlessly clean, and had no problems with anything! Would highly recommend!

The cottage exceeded our expectations.. .It was really comfortable, very spacious and even in March very warm and cosy. Well located ,just a walk from the beach and the pub!We had a lovely relaxing week and would stay again. The owner has made it a home from home even down to the lovely vase of daffodils which were waiting for us.

Great location.. Bath towels included would have been better than having to take our own as only hand towels provided but this did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay.

Lyndhurst cottage was a quiet, well equipped holiday home.. Very close to a beautiful peaceful beach, also only a short walk to the local shop. The owners had provided us with a lovely welcome pack and even a beautiful bunch of roses.Overall a great place to relax and unwind. A big thank you to the owners and to Sykes for the booking process. Mr &Mrs Buck.Lincolnshire.

The friendliness of the local people in Beadnell particularly St Ebb's church.. Beadnell is clearly a very well organised community with lots of activities for the locals to participate a true village atmosphere but where everyone is welcomed. On walks around the village EVERYONE would great you with a genuine "Good Morning"

Wonderful location, the cottage was close to the local pub serving nice evening meals and also nearby were the shop, cafe, the beach and harbour and the bus stops.. The garden was pleasant and the off road parking adequate. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

May 2018
Lyndhurst is a beautiful, and extremely comfortable, cottage with a lovely conservatory and 2 well fitted bathrooms.. There is a very pretty garden to relax in and while we were staying there most evenings at dusk there were nightingales singing nearby which was lovely to hear. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the beach, harbour, shop and pub and only a few minutes drive from Seahouses and Bamburgh and about 12 miles from Alnwick Casfle and Gardens so it is in a very good location for visiting local attractions. We hadn't stayed at the cottage before but hope to again the future.

Beadnell is a lovely, convenient place to stay. Not quite as busy as Seahouses but within easy reach. The village of Beadnell has a good eating pub and cafe/bistro, which are both within walking distance of Lyndhurst Cottage. The cottage itself was well equipped and conveniently located. It is a little 'tired' in places, especially the kitchen. There is no wifi yet the signs on entering the village boast of super fast broadband. We did use the free wifi at the pub but this was not always convenient. However, none of this spoilt our stay.

Just one problem with this break - we should have booked for longer. Beadnell is a lovely quiet village on the beach and a short walk from the harbour. Great base for exploring Northumbria. Cottage is in a great location with lovely garden. Welcome tray of biscuits, tea, sugar etc on arrival with fresh milk in fridge. Fresh cut flowers in vase was a nice touch. Cottage is spacious and more than enough room for us (2 adults and 2 older teenagers). Suitable for 4 adults or families with older children. The owners had thought of and provided everything you could possibly need. Beds and sofas extremely comfortable. Had plenty of sunshine to enjoy the sun room and garden. Plenty of crockery and kitchen equipment. Dresser full of board games. Excellent standard of decoration and spotlessly clean, attention to detail. Bedding and mattresses etc spotless. Storage heaters plus electric heaters in every room. The cottage is on two levels with three steps but fine for the able bodied. Utility room with washer etc. Two spacious en-suites to each bedroom. Could not have asked for more and would highly recommend. Best cottage we have had the pleasure to stay in. Very sad to leave, could quite happily move in tomorrow.

The property was centrally position in a lovely village with very near access to the beach. It was a busy village with a beautiful old church full of history. The area was very quiet with no disturbing noise but had amenities such as a village store/newsagents and fish and chip shop There were plenty of walks round the village and on the beach with an excellent local tavern to visit for coffees/teas and a great garden for sitting out. Enjoyed it very much.

A lovely comfortable cottage with a very pleasant garden in a beautiful location.

August 2014
The cottage was very homely, comfortable and in a very beautiful area (although one of the locals we spoke to did ask us to keep this a secret!). It was in walking distant to some fantastic beaches, a local shop that appeared to stock everything and pubs which did great food too. There were plenty of places to visit and a week was not enough time to do this thoroughly. The cottage was well stocked with everything you could possibly need during your stay. An excellent, well-thought-out holiday cottage.

A pretty cottage in a lovely quiet village with excellent bus services to surrounding places of interest particularly alnwick, Berwick-on-Tweed and Bamburgh. We hardly used our car. I'm only sorry that its such a long way from where we live on the south coast.

The sun room and garden really make this property; the availability of garden chairs and a barbecue were added bonuses. This was our third visit to Lyndhurst Cottage and we fully intend to return. This was a very different type of holiday for us,not many would want to visit the north east for a holiday during the winter months. We found the cottage very comfortable and warm and supplied with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We were hit with extreme weather conditions inc heavy snow, although this did not take away the enjoyment of our holiday, just added to the overall good feeling of the place. We do hope to return soon.
Mrs Burke

July 2009
It was a fabulous mix of traditional cottage and modern living with every mod con you could want. The lovely sun room at the rear of the property was the gem in the crown for us, being the area we used the most and the beautifully kept quiet and private garden was an oasis of peace and quiet after a days walking, golfing or sightseeing. We will return to Northumberland and will make for Lyndhurst cottage again knowing it's the home from home that helped make the holiday the success it was.
